I continue to not get the appeal of this character however I am willing to be proven wrong. I loathed (and still do to some extent) Deadpool until Reynolds and Co. got a hold of him. But I’m still waiting to be convinced with Frank. The character had one good monologue in DD2 but other than that... Someone wanna give

Michael Rosenbaum makes me feel happy. Even if it’s just him quietly being in yet another monster comic franchise.

Peter Thiel

Happily I can now confirm that this is factually correct! Loved it. T’was everything

I’m loathe to admit I hadn’t come across these titles before. I’m interested in how the writers and artists handle structural, institutional, and systemic racism. I’m assuming (hoping?) it’s not a mindless re-hash of South: Bad Racist, North: Not Racist (on purpose so give em a break). Done right, this is the kind of

Great List. I agree with Miles being the best Spider-Man. Remember, just cause you were first doesn’t mean you’re the best. Miles’ story, journey, and approach is so much different than Peter’s. I would actually only have put “Renew Your Vows” as Number 3 and included Uncle Ben as Spider-Man replacing one of the

This was one of the greatest exchanges and trolls in the entire Spider-Verse series. Because of the very next panel... So many tears of sadness and rage at Quesada.

Sorry to be the guy this afternoon, but Ralph Ellison wrote Invisible Man, not Baldwin. Both spoke on AA issues in really different ways. Both important, but really distinct perspectives.

Hi. Hot Take Man here with an apparently unpopular opinion. This looks like a whole lot of what I wanted from a Heroes for Hire show:

I’d only add this...
Drumpsters: well, we don’t want any radicalizing influences coming in now do we?
Me: The internet tho.
Drumpsters: ...waiting for the next talking point to they can reply.

No. nononononono. You want the free market?! This is how that shit works, supposedly. Take/associate with onerous, morally repulsive position(s), pay the price. But methinks this isn’t about markets...

This is the best Evan! Your work here has always been must-read regarding nuanced, textured engagement with important and often over looked issues. My wallet hates you, but my heart thanks you. Between you, David Walker, and Greg Pak, and Kelly Sue DeConnick, it’s a great time to be a comics nerd. Excelsior!

You can tell who’s getting ready to run the show by counting the smiles.

This is simply one of the finest titles out there. Full stop. Walker does an astounding job blending action and humor with timely and relevant storylines, rich characterization, and wonderful dialogue. It’s been a looooong time since a title has made me wish it was already next month.

Yet another strong entry from one of the best writers in comics today. Walker always does an excellent job blending complicated characters, social thought, and compelling adventure. His dialogue is consistently great and storylines always entertaining. See also: Powerman and Iron Fist, Cyborg!

I’m not so sure that’s Vader...

I think any way you cast this role there’s going to be advantages/disadvantages. The dynamic between Luke & Danny has explored race relations and dynamics for decades. In fact, that’s one of the reasons their title is my favorite of all times. Of course, should they have cast an AA actor in the role that would be cool

When Kylo Ren is “interrogating” Rey he says, “Don’t worry, I feel it too.” Referencing what?

A Priest tone would be pretty spot on. Just dark enough for the “serious” folks, but lighthearted enough not to take itself toooo seriously. The title works best (for me anyway) when it’s balanced.

One of the best scenes. I’m really excited to see what Freeman does. Hope his turn in the BP movie is as wonderful as it is in these storylines.
