It would give them an excuse to waive their stupid hard line on the verbiage. Something along the lines of “but we signed him for this team.” It’s just all incredibly stupid. What I don’t get is this: If you are so worried he is going to be a bust after the third year, why in God’s name did you draft him third

I can’t explain why but the continued use of “all takes matter” as the name of the show bothers me. It’s not terrible, it just reminds me of that friend you have who refers to Channing Tatum as Magic Mike and acts like it’s still semi-clever on the 900th time.
I mean, I do get not respecting this garbage pile, pube

Schilling’s at least superficially makes sense. It’s inane and disagreeable (to put it mildly), but you can see where he’s straining to make a point. Reilly’s, on the other hand, is just a masterpiece of what-the-fuckery.

This is what convinced me to Vote for Reilly. Thank you.

see that was my thinking too; the other people are just shills/trolls/insensitive, but Schilling is using his considerable media position to promote societally toxic ideas. No one is going to get assaulted because Rovell is in love with his brands, yeah?

That’s a good distinction!

Definitely Reilly’s. It has the perfect balance of “dude, why?” and “...wtf?”

I am also a single issue voter: Fifty-four Forty or Fight!

That’s not a celebration, that’s a suicide attempt.

“case study in the proper way to handle this sort of controversy”

Yeah, I feel like McShay et al are just pissed he didn’t deny it, run everyone around, and ultimately get caught, thereby providing 2 weeks of breathless news cycles.

Right. There were a lot of early-to-mid 20th century southern American musicians who were kind of guessing how old they were, and when eventually some researcher went combing through county archives it turned out they might be off by three or four years. (And still a lot of older Americans today who never got official

Dammit, now I feel sorry for the guy.

This is federal judges reviewing the CBA of a union. The fact that it’s pro football players and not steamfitters or teamsters or whatever is pretty much immaterial.

Different intern? New intern to replace the one they just let go after that whole unauthorized “Washington” thing?

My guess is there’s some sort of internal, or unwritten, rule about denigrating another franchise, like it’s the Senate or something, so that’s why this guy wouldn’t say anything on the record to Patrick.

They should probably remember that the fans who scream about “PC Culture” don’t really have money to spend on tickets and merch.

Yeah, as a Giants fan and Washington hater, I want them to own this. There’s absolutely no reason not to.
