Me too. When I read that part of the application process was a video, I thought that meant a porn video, so that they could solicit free porn videos from people looking for a scholarship. But the Washington Post article that this one links to says that, in the video, she read letters from her friends about how worthy

According to the Washington Post article, barratry is “a crime in Texas that prohibits lawyers from soliciting clients for financial gain.” So it seems like the problem is that they weren’t just accepting every potential client that walked in door, regardless of how frivolous their claim was, but that they were

I’m not sure how the NHL ballot works, but I know for baseball anybody can vote online as many times as they want. They even make it easy for you. Once you vote, a button comes up that says “vote again with the same ballot.” If they want to stop ballot box stuffing, they should limit it to one vote per email address.

Commas won’t fix that sentence. It needs to be rearranged.

I disagree. Sure, the temptation is obviously there to make sure a major city is in always in the Super Bowl, but I think the risk outweighs the reward. If it ever leaked, the public would lose all faith in the NFL and it would have the reputation of the WWE. And considering how incompetent the league office is, I

I could see Google going for it. They stream some live stuff on YouTube. I think the biggest thing they’ve had so far is the State of the Union, but NFL games would be a huge addition.

ESPN only has 1 NFL game a week though. If you don’t care about other sports, you can definitely get away with not having cable and just going to a bar once or twice a year when your team plays Monday night. If you want to watch college football, ESPN is a must- have though.

I’m holding out judgment until we know what the cost will be and who the games will be available to. Obviously, CBS is not going to want to pay $300 million to broadcast something that is avaible online to everyone for like $5/game. I suspect that there will local blackouts and you’ll have to buy the entire season

I’m from Lawnguyland (if you’re going to use the phonetic spelling, do it right) and I have NEVER heard anyone call tomato sauce “gravy.” It sounds like the sort of thing someone who has never been to a real Italian restaurant would say (Olive Garden doesn’t count).

That’s true, but it’s always been very obvious that the HoF was deferring to the Commissioner when it comes to Pete Rose. There was a section of the decision where he kind of implies that he thinks Rose should be in the Hall of Fame anyway (or at least that it should be up for discussion), but I think that ignores the

“Now, imagine I’m a tower. And if a plane hits me at this angle... hold on. Russell, come up here and be the other tower for a minute.”

I thought it was already common knowledge that the team runs the Redskins Facts? Haven’t they linked to the site in the past on their own website and twitter?

Do you have a religious objection to opening your coat?

And the headphones had the player’s numbers on them, which means that Jenkins knew that he was taking Moore’s headphones. Practice squad player Louis Nix posted a photo of his headphones on Twitter yesterday and the number is visible, but he has since deleted it.

I like it, but some people might get offended by the silloutte of the naked woman. You have to know the culture/mood at the party.

I agree with you. It would be okay if building stadiums always led to an economic boom in the surrounding neighborhood, but that’s pretty rare and what does occur is usually fairly modest. I think the only thing the city/state should contribute is the cost of transportation infrastructure, like roads and trains to the

That was a travesty. They were doing so well. They had a good chance to set the record for most consecutive losses in a single season and they threw it all away. I’m seriously disappointed in them.

The bribe money passes through US banks. The Justice Deparment has the authority to charge anyone who uses a US bank to commit a crime, regardless of where that person is located.
