Are Spanish broadcasts not copyrighted?

How come a lot of the highlights that Deadspin (an English-language website) posts are in Spanish? Is it is a copyright issue? Are they just generally the first thing that’s available?

I don’t think it’s weird for a parent to have a copy of their kid’s class schedule. Especially because the letter writer here says that her daughter complains about getting phone calls in class. If the daughter doesn’t want to be called during a certain time, she’s the only one that can tell her mom that.

I would let things play out the first few weeks and see what happens. Every kid is different. During my freshman year of college, I called my parents a lot. Maybe 3 times a week. On the other hand, my younger brother never called first. You don’t want to demand that he call at least once a week if he’s naturally

Wikipedia also says that one possible explanation is that 0 degrees was the coldest temperature he measured in his hometown the year he made the scale. That sounds far more likely.

It’s a small sandwich chain. I’ve never been there, but it’s been described to me as a nicer version of Subway. I think it’s mostly in the Midwest and Northeast.

They don’t have movie theaters in Cleveland.

My cousin is the one who got in trouble in this story, not me. During my first year of law school, I got a text message from my cousin who was a freshman in college asking me to call him as soon as possible. When I did, he tells me “2 days ago, I got arrested for underage drinking and criminal mischief. I don’t want

Do you really think Sparty and Tommy Trojan can get along long enough to pass laws? There’ll be a sword fight on the Senate floor over Helen.

I’m glad to see that they’re not letting their recent set back stop them in their quest to lose 30 straight games.

Why should St. Louis get to keep the name? The Rams played in LA a lot longer than they played in St. Louis. They played in Cleveland for 10 years, LA for 50 years, and St. Louis for 20 years.

I thought that Al Davis won his lawsuit when the NFL tried to block him from moving to LA the first time in the 1980s. Why do the teams need the NFL’s permission to move if a court already said they don’t? I assume I’m misunderstanding the original lawsuit.

How can you write an entire article about someone without mentioning their gender? You need to pick a pronoun.

You had serious deliberations in... a grand jury? I’ve never experienced one, but everything I learned about them in law school makes them sound like essentially rubber stamps. One of my professors used to be a prosecutor. She said that the grand juries she worked with always voted to indict after very little

I think they would let him start in the playoffs unless Osweiler is playing amazing. Even then, they still might.

I think the biggest benefit would be in short distance. Close enough that you can throw it onto the green. If you throw it, you don’t have to worry about duffing it or hitting it too hard over the green.

A few years ago, my brother brought a metal bat to a driving range and was hitting golf balls with it (he’d throw the ball up in the air and hit it as it came down, he wasn’t just hitting them off the ground). He had a few good shots that went decently far, but also a lot of whiffs and foul tips that didn’t go anyway.

I really liked last year’s Duck Commander Indepedence Bowl. I imagined a duck soldier commanding his duck troops in their war for independence.

Pumpkin pie is overrated. Apple is by far the superior fall pie option.

Why front office? Wouldn’t QB coach or offensive coordinator be a more natural fit for him?
