The halt of sales of technology, like supercomputers and other high tech, to Russia is a good idea. Keep them in the dark ages.

I suppose you believe that mendacious self-serving crap that millions of illegals voted in the election explaining why it wasn’t a Trump landslide. How you doing for bridges? I have a nice one for you. Ran when parked.

How’s the weather in the Motherland right now?

I would say that they call themselves conservatives, but voting for Trump has all but outed them. I hate to use a Scotsman’s fallacy, but there’s no way someone who is actually conservative would vote for a populist.

Did it ever cross your mind that Russia’s attempts to influence our election were in fact JUST attempts? I don’t recall anyone saying they were successful.

How much is Russia paying you to write this crap?

Why should we work with an evil son of a bitch like Vladimir Putin?

Because Russia is doing everything in their power to weaken us as a country. They remain our enemy. Look at our government right now. Trump and the GOP cry about our military power, but strong leadership is worth more than an overwhelming military, and with Trump and the GOP in charge, we have no leadership right now.

Voter ID laws are fought because they’re specifically designed to make it hard for poor people to vote. Those on the right believe those people are more likely to vote Dem, hence the drive for these laws. It’s social gerrymandering and nothing more.

Why do you think Putin is interested in playing nice? Russia still wants to command and conquer.

Firstly I don’t see how better relations with Russia helps the US in any significant way, they’re broke and not going to be buying tons of US products anytime soon anyways and they spend half their time screwing around with longtime US allies in Europe. So what are we supposed to do, ignore our European allies

How is Russia an important trade partner? To us, they are just a consumer economy. What do they really have to offer but things we either have or can obtain elsewhere?

Trump supporting and conservative are mutually exclusive. I love when Trump supporters pretend they’re conservatives because they support the guy with the red tie.

Boo comrade your false equivalency attacks are especially poor today. No Rubles for you.

I don’t know if they did or not, that’s the thing. I think it is clear to all but those with their heads up their arses who fell for it hook, line, and sinker, that Russia meddled. Now, was the Trump campaign (or at the very least certain key members of the campaign) complicit on this? Or were these meetings and

We aren’t dealing with Russia, the country. It is dealing with Putin, who is not even on his own country’s side. Putin’s goal is to secure and maintain control, as much as possible. There’s nothing that needs to be understood. He’s like Trump, but smart and vicious and ruthless instead of dazed and confused and

My two cents:

Funny, it used to be the conservatives that were the most anti-Russian and constantly calling the Democrats “commies”. Now they want to be best buddies with them for what ever reason is beyond me. Not only has Putin svengalied Trump, it seems he has done it to 38% of the polled populace that hangs in there.

While having a good relationship with Russia is nice to have, it isn’t nearly as necessary as the effort being put into it. Economically, Russia is the size of Italy, but it has nuclear weapons. Russia exports three things; oil, military hardware, and fucking with things. And of all the countries in the world to be a

It’s mostly about the US’s committments to NATO to stop expansionism of russia into other countries, such as Ukraine. Russia’s response to helping with the war on terror has been to largely ignore human rights violations and indiscriminately bomb civilians and support corrupt governments, instead of trying to
