This is my favorite sentence in the piece:

I worked with him on one of the superhero bits he did.  He was super positive and friendly to everyone.  He got the whole crew a little parting gift!  That’s a neat thing to do for a non-lead.  He was fun to work with.

Someone please define ‘schism’ for the writer.

This one started out a bit boiler plate, but visited some dark places and was a really interesting interview.

You are correct that “schism” implies conflict for which the article supplies evidence to the contrary. That said, this is the AV Club, copy editors don’t work here anymore.

I think you’re right. Cordo Maltese has been the “go to” location in a lot of DC properties. It was referenced in The Dark Knight Returns and I’m pretty sure characters went there in the Arrow show.
