It was pretty cool to hear Parquet Courts in the opening True American scene. Decent follow up to using The Clash in the debut of the game.

For years I thought Sam Neil said "you BRAD raptors" in that scene.

I completely disagree about the Swingin' Utters; those early EPs (House of Faith Years collection) are pretty boring to my ears. They're definitely a band that got better as they got older.

Oh fuck yes, these guys are one of my favorite bands around nowadays.

You absolutely have to read the Darwyn Cooke/Ed Brukbaker take on her from the mid-2000s. It's seriously some of my absolute favorite comic work and DC is almost done putting out huge, easy to find collections of it.

Oh yeah, it's never going to last and I'm pro-actively bummed.

O'Neil, you missed the best part of this, that it has Jonathan Slavin and Malcolm Barret, aka Phil and Lem from Better Off Ted in the cast too.

That could have resulted in a fantastic one-off record. Lydon was just getting weird with PiL, Devo was still in the relatively early going (major label-wise at least) and it would have gotten a huge media push.

Oh yeah, kind of forgot that LP fits in the Alan-less category too. It is pretty awesome, especially when you factor in the four bonus tracks they left off.

The transition in "Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA" left me with bruised thighs every time I saw them because I have no other outlet for my insane excitement except to punch my leg. Totally worth it. Best Devo song.
