You know, I got the first trade from the library after hearing about how great it was for months and wasn't really all that taken with it.

I just finished the "Moving Targets" trade, the one where Mia announces she's HIV positive/becomes Speedy and loved it. I was in a shop awhile back and picked up the single issues of the six part "Straight Shooter" story and enjoyed the hell out of that too.

He had to practice for his role in Need For Speed.

Totally went from 80 to 81 for me.

They really do. I didn't care much for the recorded stuff I'd heard but back in '08 a girlfriend had a VIP/free drinks thing to a show of theirs and Titus Andronicus. TA were ok, No Age blew me away and have been one of my favorite bands since. I mean, they covered a Gun Club song for christsakes!

After two listens, I'm not sold. It's not a bad record per se and I bet I'll like it more with each listen, but coming off my favorite LP of 2010 it's a definite disappointment.

I didn't get a chance to see these guys until 2009 and they were still so flat out explosivethat it's hard for me to even imagine how great they must have been in their prime.
