I've often wondered how directors would react to hearing people say, "Your movie let me turn off my brain, and I didn't have to think about it at all!" 'Cause you hear people say that (usually in a highly defensive manner) as a way to praise a movie, but it's never sounded exactly complimentary to me.

Hearing a baby repeatedly say "Mama Mama Mama Mama" would ordinarily annoy the fuck out of me, but I was cracking up when Nora was doing it. Maybe because she did it right after Kristina solved the apple/tomato conundrum. It's Nora's version of "Well done!"

She was pretty bad on Royal Pains, too. I'm starting to think she's the English version of Melissa George.

Is Elena really "in the lead for fan favorite," as the little bug at the bottom of the screen likes to remind us? Seriously? She's not even bitchy in a fun way, like Christian Siriano. She's just really unpleasant.

Me! Tickets just went on sale either yesterday or the day before, and I got mine as soon as I saw the announcement on the AFI's website.

David O. Russell's new one, Silver Linings Playbook, got rave reviews at Toronto, so that's probably in.

Moonlight Serenade is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Did that even get a theatrical release?

He'll always be Keen Eddie to me.

I'm really sad that movie flopped. It's the best romantic comedy I've seen in a long time (and no, that's not the backhanded compliment it sounds like).
