I picked this up as a gift for a friend, and they really enjoyed it. It's worth a read: [www.amazon.com]

Make sure you take into account condo fees when deciding whether you can afford a place! This is a common mistake a lot of my friends made when buying condos. They saw an $1100/month mortgage, added utilities, and said, "Hey I can swing this!". Then after the first couple of months with $250-350/month condo fees, they

Typing quickly on a glass screen is a fools errand. You won't be able to keep up, and you'll be out whatever you spent on the tablet. You can find laptops with quiet keyboards, just depends on how hard you mash the keys. For example, my work laptop, a Dell E6420, has a very quiet keyboard. My personal MacBook Pro 13"

I'm not sure I like this idea (for me) and here's why...

JP, if your car stereo has an AUX input, all you need is a Line Out Dock cable.

Fiio makes some nice stuff from what I've been reading. I was looking at the E7, which is a DAC/amp, but I just read on their site (which suffers horribly from Engrish!) that the E17 is coming soon, which is an upgrade from the E7. I've also been looking at the E11 due to some reviews I saw on head-fi.org's forums,

Yep, I'm familiar with that concept :) That's how I've got it hooked up in my car, and to my home theater system. Appreciate the tip, though, I'm sure it'll help others! :)

Just picked up a pair of V-Moda Crossfade M-80s, and DAMN! these things sound good! Haven't even done any burn-in and they're much better than anything I've ever owned. Now the search is on for a new headphone amp or amp/DAC (preferably portable so I can use it with my iPod/iPhone). Any suggestions?

Whitson, for what it's worth, Notify is now "free". The developer has decided to stop development, which means that there will be no future updates (unless things change later). On the bright side, the dev has made a license file available for anyone to download, effectively making Notify Pro free to the masses. Hope

My point wasn't necessarily that it's spelling mistakes are OK. The point I was getting at is the Lifehacker community in general tends to freak the hell out about simple spelling mistakes. If it was a mistake made over and over (i.e., a TRUE misspelling, not just a typing gaffe), I'd find someone less credible as a

I really only clicked onto this post to read the comments and see how many people pointed out that the picture said "Eternet" rather than "Ethernet" like it was the crime of the century, but then I was disappointed that there was only one comment at all. But then the world was made better when I realized that one

Tell them to put in the 5 seconds of effort to open a Twitter account! :)

If she's used to using Microsoft Outlook, you can go with hosted Exchange from providers like Rackspace.com, and as an added bonus, they support Exchange ActiveSync (and many host BlackBerry Enterprise Servers) so you can use an iPhone, Windows Phone, Android, or BlackBerry device to access the account.

Meh, the price argument is relative. For example, the MacBook Pro 13 is $1199. The 13" Dell laptops I order for work with similar specs start at $1400. Sure, you can get a MacBook Pro 17" with a quad core i7 and all sorts of other fancy crap for 5 grand, but then, you can do that with a Dell too...

Perhaps I'm missing something, but it doesn't appear to be a "new iPhone app", but it's now a "universal" app that can be installed on either device.

Wow, this classy-looking hack must be a hit at dinner parties! I don't think I'd ever pull something this out in front of company! LOL :)

This. All of it.

Take a look at the documentation for ThinkUp, it answers your concerns right there.
