We’re certainly not the “home of the brave” anymore now that we’re so afraid of a few darker-skinned folks that we’re on try number 3 to ban as many of them as possible from entering the country.

What the heck is leftover beer? I think you may be doing it wrong ;)
There’s also a Raspbian Jessie Lite image available on raspberrypi.org now.
For a future post, I’d like to see a “Three ways to avoid appearing like an oversensitive little bitch.” ;)
Oh, great. So now murcury is bad for you? First it was eggs, then bacon, then carbs, and now murcury? Where will it end?!
No, instead he decided to take to a Gawker Media site and basically shout over and over “WHY IS NO ONE PAYING ANY ATTENTION TO MY OMFGYOLOSWAGSKYLINE?!?!”
Good to hear. I'm thinking it may actually be an issue with Firefox and IPv6 DNS resolution. It seems to affect Facebook and Google mostly—those are usually the two sites I hit immediately after waking my mac from sleep. Some sites are unaffected. And it seems that Chrome and Safari work fine. Figures it's another…
So, can you tell me why ever since I turned on IPv6 on my RT-AC68R, I have to reboot it nearly daily because my outside internet access becomes unresponsive? ;) (I know this is mostly unrelated to the actual post where you're disabling the client IPv6 protocol).
Came here to nominate ProClip. I've been using them in my car since 2007. Never had a problem with them. They're sturdy, well-built, and have many different mounting options. I love the "move clip" system they have, which allows me to switch back and forth between my iPhone/iPod Classic, SiriusXM satellite radio, and…

Sounds like you're having way more issues than I've ever seen. Are you sure you installed NOD32 AntiVirus and not Eset Smart Security (which is one of those all in one security packages that all suffer from bloat and tend to be pigs on system resources)?
Strange, I've never had issues with game mode. Check your settings, if I recall, there's a timeout period that you can manually set for game mode.
I've never run it on a low-end netbook, but it runs fine on my 6 year old spare laptop.
VOTE: NOD32 AntiVirus (ESET)
One thing of note is while they claim to keep the price point the same ($35), Element14 currently has them listed at $50.59, but they're out of stock anyhow.
This is pretty much how I've always looked at it, for the most part. What I call my emergency fund is not to cover so-called emergency expenses, it's for the times that income is lost. I have a separate "bucket" in my budget for emergency expenses (i.e., car repairs, home repairs, unexpected bills, etc.).
Love the acid test!
I've been in IT for over 13 years with a Fortune 500. I have to disagree on a couple of your points. First, the laptop... I haven't used a DVD drive in my laptop since 2009. This isn't necessary. Though I certainly wouldn't try to do my job on a Mac again... did that for a few months, too much hassle, and I can't run…
If you're thinking about updating to 14.04 server, and you run a web server, read about the changes to Apache's config first to save yourself the headache of making your stuff work after the upgrade.
INTP, huh? Me too... kinda sweet that I might have a shot at being a crazy old college professor too!
