Love it!

Just introduce him as She-Hulk’s P.I. in her series. We already know he went to battle with Thanos’ army, not hard to believe he’d stick around on Earth.

Counterpoint: if you directed Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and The Ice Storm you’re allowed to talk like that.

Look as long as she brings back Thomas Dolby as the soundtrack guy I don't care.

The duck has held up pretty well, too.

If the team that made “Into the Spiderverse” wanted to make an animated “Howard the Duck” movie, I’d watch that.

One of the great moments in director DVD commentary tracks was when Ang Lee casually mentioned, in the “Incredible Hulk” commentary, that he wanted to make the movie because he was interested in the color green. Later, while commenting on a scene in which Bruce hulks out in Betty’s living room and throws a couch

In the comics he’s been a private eye for a while, and honestly I think he’d work a lot better with a show than a movie, especially once they’ve set up the part of the comics universe he tends to operate best in (he interacts a lot with She-Hulk, Hellcat, Squirrel Girl, basically the lighter characters).

Lea Thompson...Yep, still smokin’ hot.

The woman has an awesome pedigree.  I vote yes for her to do it all the way.

Counter-argument: Duck with tits.

There’s “incompetent bad” and “just plain dumb.” Howard the Duck (and, as you mention, Wild Wild West) is among the latter, which can make them even worse.

Don’t try to make sense of it. It’s 70s stoner humor, Howard The Duck was Marvel’s answer to underground comix at the time.

Definitely. It’s a notorious misfire and its duck/human perviness, which was weird even then, has aged very terribly. But it has some actual decent actors, some not-completely-eye-searing FX, and a couple of mildly funny jokes. It’s more an example of “this is how a would-be summer blockbuster ends up the butt of

I could see them doing this as a TV movie or series in CGI, just not spending $300MM on it or whatever the fuck it would cost. Also...it would have to be at least PG-13 if not R.

Howard the Duck isn’t good, but it isn’t nearly as bad as the films you compare it to.

He’s a one-man Chumbawumba.

You leave town tonight, right now. And when you’re gone, you stay gone, or you be gone. You lost all your Tarantino privileges. Deal?

I feel like I’m pretty up on what tv shows are coming out and whatnot, and seeing as this is the first I’m ever hearing of this, is it really highly anticipated, or is that just from the press release? I mean, it could be and it slipped by me...
