Making fun of any generation’s slang is kind of lazy and has nothing to really say about a generation. Other than them taking a group shot at the end of the skit, there was nothing really original about the idea. You could have done the same skit from the 70's cast on. I also didn’t know “bruh” was still a think so at

Also of note, Musk’s monologue looked like he was doing an impression of Michael Meyer’s Dieter right down to the facial expressions and pose. Unlike Dieter, neither was he funny or did it involve a monkey

what are you talking about? Che/Jost are the best thing on the show.

that skit is the worst and i hate that its a regular thing, now.

It wasn’t a huge surprise that Musk wasn’t all that funny, but he’s not the first non-entertainer host who just wan’t funny. Did any of us really expect Elon Musk to be a comic genius?

Musk did fine in the filmed bits. Live he was excruciating to watch, excessively bobbing his head and indicating every emotion with awkward intonations. Revealing that he is on the autistic spectrum should be a surprise to absolutely no one who has ever seen him speak in public.

Then I guess I’m not sure who your comment is for or what exactly it’s arguing against.  I don’t see anyone acting “enraged” that they didn’t rip on Musk.

My inner 10 year old laughed when Chad’s head exploded. Not quite as much as at the “Farewell Mr. Bunting” sketch.

Yes, Musk’s delivery and cue card reading were terrible. But he was still better at those than Robert DeNiro.

The biggest SNL laugh of the week: watching Dogecoin lose 30% of its value during last night’s show.

Instead of laughing at the Grogu sketch I was just sitting there wondering “Are they referring to him as ‘Baby Yoda’ because that’s what they know the audience knows him as, are they doing it because they legally can’t say his name, or is it just because they don’t know his name?”

I’m confident that someone on SNL’s staff is nerdy enough to know Baby Yoda’s given name. But it’s not common knowledge; even the merchandising still uses the placeholder “The Child.” And it’s always going to be funnier to say “Baby Yoda.”

I get the impression he used his Asperger’s announcement more as a shield than as an attempt to shed light.

It’s not just them; I refuse to call Baby Yoda “Grogu.”

Welp, it could have been a LOT worse.

This entire episode was impossible for me to watch.

This was a really weird episode for me as while I didn’t think it was a good one by any stretch, I did feel it was one of the more impressive ones I’ve seen in a while. The limitation of Musk as a host were very evident, but the show itself managed to provide a framework in the sketches to work with it the best they

Well, this happened.

This episode was streamed live on YouTube, so as an Australian who has never left Australia, this is the first and possibly only time I will ever get to watch SNL live. (Although it was 1pm on a Sunday here).

I liked the new short format this week where it was just all Miley songs and nothing else. Made for a tight, entertaining show.
