Holy crap, that’s actually a really awesome callback

Lot of protein and vitamins in those tossed salads and scrambled eggs.

Wouldn’t they just erupt into political warfare?

Even though this ended up as set-up for whatever else Marvel are cooking up (because of course, it’s Marvel) it felt a heck of a lot more self-contained than WANDAVISION. Or rather, like the writers had solid plot points they wanted to meet and they did, if that makes sense.

Good point. I imagine the price tag probably played a role in ABC’s decision. Also, with all the talent involved in the project—not just the actors but the writers and producers as well—anything less than a first pitch home run would be a disappointment.

Where does he get the energy?!

Something that just doesn’t sit right with me is the idea that Steve Rogers would leave Sharon Carter out in the cold for five years.

He was planning to do that and this at the same time, with Frasier still scheduled to begin production in 2022.

Oh, thank god. I can’t wait till the mostly-terrible multicam sitcom format dies of old age. Barely anyone does barely anything good with it these days, and it became mostly a “hey remember when we all liked those” kind of TV nostalgia machine which also leans towards conservative mindset, with a lot of its material

The thing you are forgetting is that cast of BBT was relatively unknown at the time and I imagine the first years salary for the entire cast would not pay for Baldwin or Grammer individually. Basically the budget for the big name talent, writers and directors means this show is not going to be cheap and you do not

There are so many pilots like this that are never seen, or aren’t seen until the stars check out of this world. I desperately want to see the Jerry Lewis epic movie about the clown in the Nazi deathcamp. As someone who saw Jerry’s assholery at nearly contact range, anything bad he did is like gold to me. I only wish I

I thought Grammer was doing the Frasier reboot?

They actually started to film the pilot, but only got three hours of Alex Baldwin yelling at a guy over a parking space before production shut down.

I thought it was a callback to Sam learning from Steve the first time they really worked together and he’d been learning since then:

Nah, I don’t think so. I think the cringe factor is fair.

...You mean aside from the praise I gave the last two episodes of the show?

Yikes, what a mess this show turned out to be.

To start with the big positive, I really liked Sam’s character journey over the show and what he as a character represented. There is a sense of earnestness and ability to rise back up to the character that truly manages to make him an inspiring character for me. And as such, there is a sense of achievement in this

If Sam’s speech actually made the senator reverse course then that is the single most unbelievable thing we’ve ever seen in the MCU.

This ended on a solid note. Not perfect, but solid. There are definitely threads to follow for future MCU installments, which is nice, and nothing is too weirdly out of place in how the story wraps up. No complaints from me.
