We’re calling Seth Meyers a centrist? He is more left than any host short of Jon Oliver or Trevor Noah.

popular movies and TV shows that celebrated unbridled masculinity, from dramas like Office Space

....I’m confused. If they were trying to storm the stage, doesn’t that mean they didn’t like him being racist? And did Sacha Baron Cohen give these lousy people a ton of money as a donation to get into the event?

Ok here is the major problem with this that nobody is addressing. Guys like Hank Azaria crafted and created a voice complete with inflections and catch phrases and everything else.... that takes talent despite what some might think and they are getting fired so that some random idiot can do a piss poor impersonation

I have an interesting perspective on this. I’m an animator that has worked on shows where the voice actor was recast. It doesn’t matter too much. But you do lose a piece of the character along with the change. My case wasn’t race related. It was that the voice actor was arrested for being in a huge pedophile ring. The

This is a really dumb rhetoric. It’s getting closer everyday to the logic where only White People can play European classical music, and only Black People can play jazz. America has to stop associating skin color and culture; if they do it with good intentions, they allow to do it with more destructive goals.

What a complete nonsense this is. This is taking the the whole racial inequality exactly the wrong way! Like this you put more emphasis on differences. If you want equality noone should care or even think about the race a voice actor might have. And what’s next? All 1.000.000 pokemon episodes need to be redone because

Pathetic...

My issue isn’t with an increased amount of POC representation in voice acting (more representation in the industry can only be a good thing), but the way these companies have gone about doing it.

That’s what happens when you pander. Shit gets out of control. And fast.

lets just put it this way. a good voice actor can voice five completely different characters on the same show because that’s their skill. these characters are all different ages and ethnicity and they’re all voiced by a single person. it doesn’t matter if the voice actor is famous or not, it still costs alot more to

Danger, Danger, Danger, please Danger!

Having a white actor voice a black cartoon character and vice-versa isn’t a big deal, and I’m black. Always thought the context for cartoons are much different from the context of acting. Your skin colour does not matter when it comes to animation unless they’re going to use these people as references for whatever

Exactly.

Isn’t this a bit much? If every character in animation needs to be played by someone of their respective ethnicity, then I guess we have to recast Bart and Lisa as well?

Filing this under “shit nobody cares about except gawker/buzzfeed/vice writers ”  .

Umm... In this case it does. Roger has invited myself and 117,499 of my closest friends to a party and I intend on going. Sorry you weren’t invited.

It also doesn’t mean burning down buildings, defacing private property, walling off city blocks, and destruction of monuments.
