There is a difference between the general population and the core gamers who have been waiting. Average consumer interest will wane pretty quickly from release as it always does and thats where 99% of the sales are going to come from.

I am rooting for Harebrained Scheme’s “The Lamplighters League” since I enjoyed Battletech so much. It looks like a great game.  (Tactical turn base not RPG)

I mean generally the media buzz for a new release vanishes after about a week so yeah releasing a week later should give it ample breathing room.
