If you don’t want to play the games that are that difficult, then don’t. There’s not a paucity of media out there. Its not like Souls players are bombarding the makers of random other adventure games with demands to make it insanely hard so they can find it fulfilling.

Trying to insist that every game have an easy

It’s ok, you don’t gotta like it, but I don’t know why you gotta be weirdly bitter about it...

It’s funny how often the “every game should be for everyone” apostles fail to see the flaw in their reasoning when they instantly make an amalgamation between a community and its toxic vocal minority.

It’s a 3D Metroidvania too, in the vein of Arkham Asylum. Think about all the backtracking as you unlock skills like wall running, double jumps, push, and pull.

I started playing it for the same reason. I enjoy it, but I had to set it on dumb dumb story mode to actually progress through it. Even the Jedi Knight (I think, the one above story mode) setting was too much for me. I might be getting old.

Class solidarity guarantees the chances of this happening are 0%. MS execs will talk shit about him, and maybe not even invite him on ski trips. But they would NEVER set a precedence of one of their own being denied the most golden parachute legally possible.

Exactly. Under capitalism, this is a perfectly legitimate “job”, most of which exist only to further enrich the rich, regardless of whether they are beneficial or detrimental to society at large. This is no different from what happens with health insurance companies, or telecom monopolies, etc. Maybe capitalism isn’t

“While it’s true that we all live in a capitalist hellscape, labor-added value is usually supposed to add value for… you know, the consumer.”

You can rightly argue that less competition will result in a general negative impact on the market over time, but this will almost certainly result in a net positive for the industry at least in the short term, if only because Xbox under Phil Spencer has been one of the most consumer friendly game companies out there

Bonus its by Totillo.

And then Disney buys Microsoft.  And then Amazon buys Disney.  And then the Vogons demolish the Earth to make way for a hyperspace bypass.

According to the press release Bobby is staying CEO, so this doesn’t solve anything.. https://news.microsoft.com/2022/01/18/microsoft-to-acquire-activision-blizzard-to-bring-the-joy-and-community-of-gaming-to-everyone-across-every-device/

John Carpenter being into Dead Space is the most “yeah that checks out” thing I’ve heard in a while.

Now playing

I’m biased. It’s one of my favorite films of the 80's. Granted I love, The Thing as well.

Carpenter is awesome, and he's right about infinite. If you're in to comics check out Year of the Villian: Joker one shot by John Carpenter, it's a treat.

I didn’t think I would like the PS5. I was right. I don’t like it...I fucking love it!

Bingo. You’re not going to beat a month with Elden Ring and Dying Light 2 and Horizon: Forbidden West just because of quantity.

There is only one game, Elden Ring, and Memezaki is it’s prophet.
