I said it 3 years ago when Flores was hired. He would get 3 years, he would right the ship, and then they would fire him for the white coach they wanted. He was handed a roster with zero-talent and no winning culture, in a division where finishing 3rd-place was the best they could realistically hope for in the

The best analogy I’ve seen for them is those “name a star” services, where some company has a list of stars and you name one after your mom and give her a little certificate with the star’s location in the night sky on her birthday or whatever.

The test he’s talking about is not a “cognitive test” like an IQ test. It’s basically a test to see if you have brain damage. Like “can you correctly give your name”, “can you correctly identify which of these animals is an elephant” type of stuff.

Well sure, the GOP is basically made up entirely of people who jerk off to their copy of the Bell Curve.

The problem is, it’s tough to say for sure which side that would be advocating for. Republicans are obviously letting their feelings get in the way of schools teaching facts, so...

I mean, are we sure he isn’t being literal? TV shows do face the threat of literally being cancelled, so maybe he’s referring to a lot of showrunners and producers only going with “safe” bets.

Part of the problem is that over the last 20+ years a lot police departments have been going for “warrior training” and other similar bullshit programs. They’re trained to see the public as the enemy in a war, and that their highest priority is to be the one alive at the end of an encounter, not any snowflake crap

After almost twenty years with no black membership, I can imagine some of the people in those email chains feel extremely comfortable in sharing their viewpoints by now.

Honestly, given who we’re talking about. this is not a surprising story. The only surprising part will be if it turns out to be just one.

I’d say “Grave of the Fireflies” would be a good addition to the list.

I say we go with the Australia model: voting is mandatory, voting day is a national holiday, and democracy sausages for everyone!

One thing I’ll say about the timing: it’s possible that the timing does matter, since if Watson did get traded, he might suddenly be outside the jurisdiction of where most of these complaints occurred. I’m not a lawyer, so I don’t know how important that is in civil cases like this, but it’s possible one of the women

The revolving door is not really the case so much these days. At least not in the hire-ship-fire cycle you mentioned. It used to be, but these days with DLC, expansion packs, and SaaS, teams are usually kept around long enough to start work on the next thing.

There’s actually good thread on this:

NFTs aren’t free money though. Artists have to pay to list them in the first place. It’s part of why it seems like a pyramid scheme. For a handful of people it will be a cash cow, for everyone else it will be more trouble than it’s worth just to break even.

I’d say it’s more likely that NFTs will be legislated out of existence. Right now it’s too ripe for abuse, and it will take a couple years for the law to catch up to understand what they are and how bad actors are going to be tearing up IP protections around the world (see the bots on twitter tokenizing other people’s

If you bought a one-of-a-kind painting of 2B from Nier, got a certificate of authenticity from the artist, and all that, you wouldn’t own 2B, you would just be the owner of a unique piece with 2B as the subject.

Unless you happened to be holding a ton of Ethereum when this NFT craze started. Or you happen to be controlling the marketplace where NFTs are bought and sold.

Nice to SE getting in on the pyramid scheme before the money train runs out.
