As long as they keep a base model attainable I feel like they can grow the top end as much as they want. If anything the Z06 and ZR1 help keep Corvette as a whole more affordable.

I hate to say it, but $100k is the new $75k. Cars generally have gotten more expensive across the board, especially performance cars. I think a better way to look at Corvette prices is to compare them to their competitors of the time. For example:
In my memory the S2000 has never really dropped below $10k. At least not for decent examples you would buy and keep. Good examples have always been above $10k.
I’m old enough to have seen revered drivers, people like Senna and Schumacher, perform acts that would get you banned from the sport now. I agree this was whiny and petty, but it’s hardly unheard of from “championship caliber” drivers.
People hate the ridgeline because it’s actually focused on what truck owners really do, which is drive on roads to the office and only occasionally haul bags of mulch or groceries. The ridgeline is the truck equivalent of passing full-suspension bikes on a 10 year old hardtail.
Isn’t repairing ANY totaled vehicle “more trouble than it’s worth,” by definition?
You’re blaming Presidents for the failures of Congress. Odd take.
Sure sure sure. Vote for the guy who’s going to dismantle the EPA to protect the jobs of American coal miners line the pockets of his rich oil exec buddies.
Those very same people don’t have gas stations at their home either, and have to leave their homes looking for a gas pump connected to an underground storage tank.
I’m not buying a car with a loan on it with a cracked windshield at any price. It seems like the seller can’t make payments and wants to sell the car to pay off the loan, and if they can’t do that they can’t do the maintenance and repairs needed for this car. ND.
100% NP, would prefer the earlier 2-smoke engine though. If you're gonna vintage Saab go full balls wild!
Irrational NP. I want this little weirdo, and I don’t even really understand why.
It’s always fun to see a car I never knew of in here. Learning is fun!
Great comparison - once the early adopters get their hands on one, real demand numbers surface.

Exactly. Even without pre orders, the IncEl Camino has only been out less than a year, and Tesla hasn’t been able to handle initial demand due to their own manufacturing ineptitude, so the sales are still very much in the brand new model honeymoon phase. Let’s see their numbers compared in a year or so.
Nuances aside, it should say “...more units than Ford’s F-150 Lightning”. There’s no way the entire F-150 lineup was outsold by the Cybertruck.
Tesla’s new flagship electric truck, which finally began hitting the highway at the end of 2023, sold more units than Ford’s F-150 last month
I really hope this brand succeeds. They have the range. The luxury. The design. And what seems like quality. They desperately need an SUV and a compact. Starting with a sedan was a mistake.
$12,400 increase over the ICE version for the base EV is not as insignificant as you make it out to be. The Macan is the biggest volume seller because it is the entry point for most people to Porsche. The more that base price goes up the less people will buy them. Add to that the insecurities of people about EV’s and…
