This. If you want a comfy civilian cruiser, Grand Marquis is the way to go. P71's are beatup or ruined, same with most Town Cars coming out of livery duty. Still tons of GM’s shuttling to church and the bank and the grocery store once a week.

If I am going roll in a Panther I am going with a Mercury Marquis.

Yeah, sure, I guess? Ambivalent nice price in the current market.

Yeah because theft of commodities is SOOOO new to the world and is exclusively the result of California.

Unfortunately, personal experience with current generation CTR owners finds this to be untrue. Nothing is stopping a 23 year old with their first adult job from financing one of these and immediately doing a muffler delete.

In case you’ve lost perspective, 8k for a bicycle is fucking stupid.

Honda might have corrected the worst aspect of the previous R gen.  Can we get this one without the spoiler though ?

That GIF is really validating to see. There’s a large group of people across various platforms that keep calling this gen boring, that it’s making the civic more of an appliance, which they are, but it’s really just a correction in styling.

Anyone can pass someone by flooring it through a braking zone and zooming past everyone else straight into a wall

Counterpoint: In nearly 200 trackdays, the only injury I’ve observed was when the abs on a BMW failed and it went airborne over a crest off track, landing on the tire wall. The driver broke his nose and tailbone (his harness bar also failed). I did see a S2000 catch fire, the driver had minor burns to his arm but went

“I was running faster than GT3". Yeah maybe that’s why you crashed at one point.

This seems pretty much standard operating procedure for being an “influencer”.

Thanks again for the advice! The 944 (specifically the Turbo) seems like it would be better as a weekend car instead of a track car and knowing that it is literally a high maintenance queen helped me knock that one off of the list. The E36s seem to have great aftermarket parts support give the large production numbers

“I need a way to get a quarter of the way across the country, what should I buy?

This is maximum Jalop.

Great question, but people also live in west Texas so I’m not sure this mystery will every be solved.

That’s assuming the Santa Cruz is aimed at existing truck owners that Hyundai is trying to lure into downsizing, which I don’t think is the case. It seems like it’s marketing towards folks that would otherwise buy a Subaru. Folks that do a lot of outdoor activities, but aren’t looking for a “real” pickup truck.

Thanks for the raving endorsement! I keep going between the S2000, E36, E46, 944, and a few others but as you can imagine it is hard to find that right blend of performance, tunability, and value. I have no interest in a 20K mile garage queen and have no problem with a car that needs some work, so long as the body is

I have been looking for a track car and if it needs some work to get sorted out, all the better. It’s a shame my Floridian brother isn’t closer to Orlando because I would have him go shake this one out for me and then put it on a truck and ship it up to dirty NJ.

Counterpoint - and this is a long one, so buckle up - it was utter shit. Take it from me. I had one as a ‘company car’ for a year in England for 12 months.
