Owner is hitting the pipe with that price, and even if it was lower, the S2000 and Boxster S were both monumentally better cars from the same segment in the same era. It might even out a little more if this was an S54 car but it is not.

The i8 isn’t 30k, the two recent low sales were 35k (this article) and 38k (recent cars and bids listing). You can get a 997 cab in the high 30s pretty reliably, or a coupe with an automatic.

It looks like it’s giving birth to a 997, which coincidentally you could have bought instead for the same money (and would probably be a better move)

I don’t totally agree with all your points here, but they should have made the Celestiq an SUV and that would’ve solved everything. The Escalade has been a slam dunk since the early 00s and continues to be, to the extent where it’s become a sort of cultural icon. Cadillac will never break back into the high-end sedan

Not following here at all, Honda’s styling has always been a strong point. Every Prelude has been exceptionally good-looking for the period (4th gen excluded IMO people like them), and the new Civic has been very well-received.

NP. These are good engines, and this car is going to be less of a headache to deal with than an S-class or similarly high-trim MB from the period.

I had typed up “I can’t believe this hasn’t sold already at that price, easiest NP in a long time” and went to click on the link to check if it was a salvage title. Lo and behold, it’s gone already.

Lexus has some very good colors available, which is somewhat uncommon to see one “regular” cars and not the super high-end stuff. I really like the pearl white, especially on something like a GX or LX. They also get bonus points for having red interiors available on the majority of their lineup.

If it’s mechanically sound this is a NP, but being at a dealer is not great for one of these unless it’s visibly stock (this one is not). Optimistic NP but I’d like to get more info on what’s been done to it.

The Durango is, always has been, and will forever be the car of choice for thin-blue-line military wives to drive their husband around in after he gets too many DUIs in his lifted ram. I have no sympathy for any person who buys one of these under any circumstances.

That Miata should be gone in a heartbeat. Not only is it super clean and lower mileage, but it has the hardtop and is the enthusiast-spec super base model but still with an LSD optioned. If you want an NA, that’s the one you want.

My dad used to say that if he went to hell, there would be a gold buick waiting for him that he had to drive for eternity. The ecosport is my equivalent of this

You’re telling me the linglong tires sold for $30 new on ebay might not be high quality?

The high-end EV market is really not doing well, and the cars in that segment are being sold with huge markups and losing half their value in a couple years. This is a tough hill for Jaguar to climb. I do hope it works out for them, and I understand that they had to do something different to try and survive.

As far as I know, Honda is the only company to ever put a manual in such a wide range of hybrid vehicles over such a long time period (or maybe at all? if Europe got something we didn’t). The CRZ, insight, and civic hybrid have all been offered with it at some time or another.

I love how they made it almost a foot longer than the old one, but somehow it no longer has room for the engine from the old one.

Sounds like they gave away an unsellable car in exchange for getting 35 people (who are searching for a new car) onto their dealer lot. Not the worst sales strategy I’ve heard.

I believe this was only true for that generation, but all other generations featured it as a unique US model based on the Titan (similar to what the Sequoia is for Toyota).

This is noteworthy because the Land Cruiser isn’t sold here anymore, except in Lexus guise with a base price north of 100k. The sticker on a base Armada is below 60k. For two models that historically have traded places on the throne in their segment, that is a bonkers price gap.

He should have listed it as a 1985.5 as that’s what this is - the earlier cars had tons of electrical issues and are ND at any price for me. This is the somewhat more desirable newer version.
