No, I don’t think that’s quite right. The precise formula for QBR is proprietary (just like DVOA I believe). But the model itself is built on Expected Points and Win Probability, which are the basis for most advanced analytics in football and other sports like baseball, too.
Shouldn’t QBR correct for garbage time though?
