Didn’t mean to hit them and run them over, definitely meant to harm them physically and emotionally. Also definitely meant to do it with an illegally modified vehicle. Hopefully it’s a stern lesson.

They might have a cult following, but they aren’t exactly a limited production rare item. There are over 1000 AWD models for sale right now on cars.com for example.

Why the fuck would you put an income cap on purchasing electric cars? You want people - including rich people - to buy as many of them as possible so they can scale up production and make cheaper ones (as well as creating a market in used EV cars that are more affordable down-stream).

This kid needs a baseball bat to the knees.

If you’re old enough/judged responsible enough to drive a vehicle on public roads, you’re old enough/responsible enough to face adult charges for vehicular crimes.

Since it’s a new Ford, I’d like to know what key piece of equipment will fail en masse first?

Minivans. All of them.

There are a few reasons why these systems suck and why Jalops would rather a more robust system that is less screen:

1. Daytime Glare:

Having their own infotainment sounds like a massive waste of time and money on Toyota’s part that no doubt is passed on to the consumer. maybe it is cheaper for them when they scale it up, but keeping things simpler could certainly help with a cost savings. also having the massive proprietary screen for a radio makes

Thanks, Toyota; I hate it.

Are these actual screenshots of the interface?

oh sweet baby jesus.  the interior is worse than the exterior.

100% agree. Car’s infotainment system should just be:
* AM/FM/Satellite radio
* Apple Car Play
* Android auto.
* OFF. <- Looking at you Mazda, let me turn the damn thing OFF.

no need for navigation, or built in apps, etc

Also screens are getting too big and most have no way to dim them all the way down at night.

I try to refrain from hyperbole, but that dash honestly hurts my eyes. I had to look away.

I wonder when car manufacturers will learn that this is folly and pointless? My cars are old and archaic so i just use my phone but my friends with new BMWs and Tesla’s and so on also just use their phones.

every time I see a company spending all this money trying to re-imagine infotainment all I can think is “jesus just make a damn app for my phone and just duplicate the screen!” I already know how to use my phone so just let my phone be the brain and it makes the whole process way simpler. make the plug in port usb-c

The biggest problem I have with the Tundra is they came late to what I wanted: An electric truck. I put down my $100 deposit on the F-150 Lightning because reducing the fuel demand to $0.00 (or effectively adding about $15/month to my power bill) was a big deciding factor for me.

How soon for the hybrid?

Idiot.

You can still pass the virus even if you’re vaccinated and there are people besides anti-vaxxers that are at risk, such as those who are immunocompromised.
