In contrast, if the officer is on the passenger side, it is much easier for the driver to shoot at him — all he has to do is rotate slight to the right, extend his arm, and shoot through either the passenger side windows or the rear window.
There’s an interesting tactic used by the state troopers in my state: Go to the passenger’s side.
