Ah. Well, have them buy a hard top.
Ah. Well, have them buy a hard top.
Man, Labatt is not very big anywhere out west. Manitoba is its home ground, does fine in Ontario and Quebec, but jesus, it is non-existent in Alberta and BC as far as I can tell.
That where I proposed, actually!
Depends on if you like hiking. Or skiing, in the winter. Still not the most exciting, but friggin gorgous.
You should probably have them check out the new one-different chassis, engine, interior, etc. Not that it's plush or anything, but it's a slightly more modern experience :-)
Oh, most people do. I have good friends that were dead set on a Cube, and all I wanted to do was make sure they cross shopped it. It's rare that a person of any income bracket actually does the full 'I want a new car and I have no idea what I want'; last time it happened to me, they look at a dozen vehicles and…
Yeah, hence the 'extremely wealthy folks' comment-and don't assume that just because they have money, they know what they want to spend it on.
No, no, let's guess! I'm going with CTS-V.
By the way, this may be the first time a Baja and a Range Rover have ever been cross-shopped.
Oh, god, I'd love to get him the shocks off of a Raptor, but one would never fit down those roads He scraps tree branches with an old Pathfinder, for gods sake. New Range Rover is out of the question; an old one might be doable, but he might balk at it. And, now that I actually bother to look it up, they are as wide…
Well, for years he only drove Land Rover Defenders, if that gives you an idea. My wife was introduced to his current Mazda truck when he got it stuck fording a river...that was 5 degrees C. He's used the Defender bodies on a number of other trucks, so many he cannot remember-there were Broncos and old 4Runners. Always…
Wouldn't necessarily recommend that right now. The market is short on 3-4 year old used cars, so their prices are alarmingly high, while the financing cannot match what you get on some new cars (0% financing is awesome).
My only concern is traction-he still uses 4Low sometimes, and if the Baja got stuck too easily, it would have mysteriously vanished by the time next time I visited.
Bahahaha! Dude, Elon Musk wouldn't use 'Big Harv' as a cover ID. The dude is already named like a 50s cologne.
Tough to recommend a Volvo in my city. You have to leave the province to find a fair priced dealer. I used to own a 2005 S40 manual-great car, never should have parted with it!
More often than I would have imagined, I recommend a Wrangler. The new engines have redeemed the mileage and performance a bit, but they still have no pretensions of speed or handling, so they're great for people who just want to feel like they're taking an adventure. The two doors are even easy to park, while giving…
I do this...but I try and add some zest to the recipe: 'Just don't do what I did: the Jag dealer said 'Why, I happen to have a used XJR out back!' '....What colour?'. Then I repeat my dad's advice when I was sitting on that car with a deposit: 'You obviously really love that car. If you buy it, you will regret it for…
I also seem to know a frightening number of extremely wealthy folks, and to them, I've been pitching the Tesla Model S. Few of them roadtrip, most have multiple cars, and they like 1)fancy 2)powerful and 3)roomy (golf clubs!) cars. It's got enough range for most of your driving, and you'll likely have something else…
Same here, but I'm bummed no one bought one. Suppose I might have bought myself, of course...
I was floored by how much I enjoyed the Hyundai Genesis sedan I rented the other day. Very nice car.
