oh no

I’m covering the Nets. Or at least the experience of viewing the Nets.

I think it’s a lot of things. Players never tank, so I think they’re trying because they’re always playing for their next contract. I think Kenny is trying to figure out what they’ve got, and he can recognize that a few players are close, but at the same time Sean Marks might have told him that they understand what

I don’t think Kenny told D’Angelo to panic and chuck the ball out of bounds against N.O. or command everybody to stop scoring in the final three minutes of every game.

“I was elected to lead. Not to read.”

I made a similar mistake one time when I accidentally clicked “pineapple” instead of “peppers” as a topping selection when I was customizing a pizza I was ordering from Papa John’s online.

They should bundle them together anyway and just call it the NintendOrgy Pack.

Curb your expectations; a leaked pic shows he's just a Sonic Echo Fighter.

Yeah, last I checked they were 25th in defensive rating. May have changed after yesterday’s game, but they can’t stop anybody. And for whatever reason they cannot make a bucket in the final 5 minutes of a game to save their life.

“. . . the animosity from the liberal base plays into their hand,”

But we are talking about the truth. It’s not ‘senseless hate’ to point out that men will often readily sympathise with each other to the point of ignoring other perspectives. I’m not American so I don’t watch those broadcasters you mentioned, but this piece isn’t shit talking for cheap laughs, so I don’t know why

Hello. I read your post(s) and the convo you had further below. It was very illumination and I appreciate the nuances.

Just because you don’t personally do it, doesn’t mean it’s not a gendered issue. It’s impossible to talk about gender politics if you can’t identify patterns and point them out.

I don’t think it’s foolish so long as we’re all trying to engage in respectful and productive dialogue (which I think this thread has been). Oftentimes, we only learn and grown and change through interrogating our positions. Our mental gymnastics are often indicative of wrestling with complex issues whose nuance

Is the moment you start being an anti racist not the moment you stop being a racist ?

I’m all for intellectual reasonable discourse, and we’ll get back to that eventually. But for now, as long as people like Donald are screaming “fake news! Restricted or banned immigration for non-white people! Assaulting women is great!” (Etc), we don’t really have much choice but to be louder and angrier. Being civil

Wow - so JR isn’t the first Smith in Ohio who failed to make it to Utah:

I understand getting overwhelmed by all the negativity, believe me. I think it’s important to remember, though, that if we help oppressed groups win their fights for justice and equity, it’ll create a better, more civil world for everyone.

For what it’s worth, there is a pretty wide field of research suggesting that well reasoned arguments rooted in facts rarely change minds. Our cognitive and unconscious biases severely limit our ability to respond to logical arguments.
