Misogyny is real, but I don’t understand why it’s so hard for some people to acknowledge that Clinton was a flawed candidate.

Remember, Clinton got more votes than Trump, and if not for the quirk of our electoral system and some bad luck, you’d be waking up today to our first female president and would be on cloud nine.

My argument is that a lot of decent people were just kicking the tires with Trump, since he represented something different.

Thanks, but I was just as big a part of the problem as anybody.

We agree almost 100%. But, I think her “lack of personal charm” inhibited her ability to communicate, connect and inspire, and that’s a really important skill for a leader. I mean, think of where you work. I’m sure you have a really bright, talented teammate who’s kind of a weirdo or a prick, and you wouldn’t want

I also have little sympathy for bigots, but my entire point (which you’re inadvertently confirming) is that we were too quick to consign every Trump supporter to the bigot basket. In reality, a lot of them were decent folks who were just fed up with the system and started out looking for something different.

Yes. And, no.

Then I guess we’re no better than those people we demonize.

Thanks, man.

“The free press as we know it is gone and done.”

Secretary of Big Macs, Chris Christie.

I’m devastated, too. But, I think your comment (which reflects an attitude towards Trump supporters we both shared) is the problem.

I understand the point you’re making, and I agreethat far more people cast a ballot for Trump in the privacy of a voting booth than were willing to admit their preference to an actual pollster.

Remember how Bush sent us to war as a way to avenge his father? Trump is so combative and sensitive that he can do much worse.

It’s the bottom of the 9th and we’re trailing by 50 runs.

Yeah. People have been saying that for 16 months. Maybe we should have taken him a little more seriously.

They bear some blame, but maybe people should have listened when the polls showed Bernie running better against Trump than Clinton did.

“Ashamed” is the word I keep coming back to.

I like conversations, too, but karaoke is a blast!

Plus, as an “outsider,” he would have earned the vote of hundreds of thousands of people who broke for Trump as a protest against Clinton.
