What porn is that good? I want to know.

@OtherTimes: My guess is that the pocket HD cam can see in 32-bit color just like most monitors. It wouldn't make any sense to go beyond that.

@octothorp: Where is your star? Neat trick.

@mbmargarita: They are really just programmable dimmer switches

I had a cake like that when I was a kid.

FYI: I worked with this stuff in college to polish mirrors to incredible tolerances. You can change the viscosity of the fluid based on how strong the magnetic field is. That's great for polishing more in some spots and less in others to get a nice smooth surface.

@ezrashapiro: VLC doesn't make money. That's why it is so great. The whole idea of GPL is that you can use other people's work to make better software, but then you can't charge money for it. That's always been my understanding. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

@redman042: One problem with that link: There are not very many sources listed.

@Arkham: Nice. There's nothing like unit system comedy on a Friday.

OMFGROFLMAO!

I gotta imagine the kick from a shotgun wouldn't be so nice for a 4-year old. I bet he won't do that again for a variety of reasons.

@toby.mole: There hasn't been a nuclear attack in many years. That sounds like a good deterrent to me. We'll never get every country to disarm enough to prevent the possibility of thermonuclear war. Even if the US and Russia dropped down to 200 warheads each we'd still have enough stockpiles among all of us to

Somebody will figure out how to bond alternating layers of graphene together with some sort of substrate material in between layers.

@SuramaAte: The line between still camera and video camera is beginning to become blurred. Once a still camera gets here that can take decent quality 1080p video then there really isn't a difference between the two. That should be happening soon.

@rick23: This is state-of-the-art RAM. Who knows what a bottleneck is in computers that are equally advanced? Not me, because most of this RAM will probably go to server farms and supercomputers to start with.

@George Beecroft: The retina display along with the built in microphone and N wireless card is nice too.
