Would not the first thing be wake up before 8
Trouble with The huh? Me two.
So you change the direction of the topic to racism, subtlety suggesting I am racist in an attempt to nullify any response I may have to your posts? Not gonna work, put that race card back in the deck. Typical reaction when somebody like you has no response to a thoughtful retort.
Pot. Kettle. Black perhaps? I concede that maybe "angers" was a poor word choice, maybe frustrates or even disappoint is more of an apt word, so I understand if that may have thrown you off on your little tirade, I am sorry I so easily confused you.
Never said anything about your style of dress. I was very particular in my description which is nothing like you seem to dress. Sounds like I'd be perfectly happy sitting next to you for 15 hrs or more.
The problem however is that the way a person dresses is much like a stereotype. They're not right 100% of the time, but they exist for a reason. This person who I am referring to, that dresses like a slob often does other slovenly actions and generally any judgment passed on the person is usually well earned. If…
Obviously I am not going to attempt this on an RJ or other narrow body aircraft, but on a wide body, especially in first class it's quite easy. Can be done in less than 2 min :)
See but the thing is from what you are describing about your dress is that it's probably very acceptable even based on my opinion. I'm not suggesting monkey suits are the only option and I am not saying that even dressing down is that bad either. What I am talking about is the walmart crowd you see in the airports…
I am not implying people should do anything for me, I am suggesting they do it for themselves. I guess I am just old fashioned or just old in general, but I find it refreshing when you travel to Europe of Asia where people take pride in how they dress and look.
I do this too, I just forgot to mention it.
Point well taken and true. I was in Brownsville TX earlier this month, and the pre check was the same way. However it's a glide through process at the larger airports with more people which is where I have a problem with it.
Sounds perfectly reasonable. I do the same thing, I just slip into some comfy pants sometime after takeoff and change back before landing. The point is at least we're both conscious of our appearances.
Can't edit, so I'll post this here.
In the US it's all very very template and predictable, and on the odd occasion you find a different policy there usually a sign. 99% of peoples problems can be solved if they simply pay attention.
Thanks man! Just spreading the knowledge. Good article on your behalf BTW. See you in the TSA line sometime, I'll be the guy telling the jackass taking his shoes off to keep his shit on!
This is more true than you can ever know. Presentation and attitude are everything when you need a problem solved. $5 starbucks gift cards and business cards that say "Best Gate agent ever!" don't hurt either.
Agreed. I always ask myself how this person in front of me ever got the wherewithal to get a ticket in the first place? How have so many people never traveled before!!!!
It is, definitely it is. Although ont he right woman I just won't complain about that uniform.
It does not affect me in the grand scheme of things of course. But really, how hard is it to put a pair of comfy slacks or jeans and a collared shirt. It's just depressing when you see somebody who does not take care of their looks. Do I really need to see the forrest of back hair about your shoulders while we stand…
