nailed it.

Huh, be sure to take note and remember this comment “The notion that you should be punished because there are bad people out there” in the future.

Also a Michigander, would have liked to see the COP actually let the guy know, hey, this is a risk which could be ticket able in the future, instead of just writing the ticket. Also, its a big risk, if they keys are in the car and its running will insurance cover it as stolen?

They must have picked up some people from Wells Fargo to help out those numbers.

Where do all those chargers plug into? Who is responsible for those lines upkeep? The lines that feed those lines also need to be updated for the additional load, transmission stations as well. When was the last time that infrastructure was upgraded for efficiency? When were the plants that produce that power and

You never have to fill up on your way to work? Human nature doesnt change, people will still try to get every mile out of the battery that they can, just like gasoline.

On the right path, now think of the infrastructure required for those charging stations and the increased capacity we will need during peak commuting hours.

Check out the price per barrel vs price at the pump historically, even without inflation they will be upside down compared to historical data i expect.

Agreed. Cheap natural gas is killing off both technologies, and I fear by the time the price goes back up to make nuclear more competitive, there will not be a supply base to support it.

While at the same time taking on more debt to buy said new car, that little fact gets left out.

Ehh. It would be riddled with problems and brakes that dont work.

Or if the USPS would have bought a electric vehicle to replace their fleet. Now all of a sudden you have chargers in EVERY city paid for by us. If the government were really serious about electric vehicles and their proliferation they would support that and upgrades to the grid/power stations.

Wouldn’t it be funny if they all used the same connector but one type of charging device would actually harm the competitions battery? Chose wisely...

Kind of like the original Tesla roadster but cheaper? THATS how you sell cars, niche market all the way. Why not just buy a Miata?

Strange, I thought that was pretty common knowledge. Guess that logic is fleeting.

Standards this, standards that... No one seems to look at the aging grid and its ability to cope with this new load. Especially with power plants being closed down left and right, a consistent supply of needed power will be harder to come by. And no, solar arrangements and wind farms do not, and will not replace

There’s a reason terrorists co-locate with civilians, for sympathy like this.

insert head gasket joke here...

It needs to have a driveshaft that wont turn itself into a pretzel after the second pass.

Dont be, from what Ive seen they can handle quite a bit of abuse.
