It’s definitely odd that they don’t look at the whole family and just the fathers but the idea isn’t odd at all. They expect QB’s to be leaders of their team and to not do anything to embarrass the franchise. Checking in to see that he comes from a good family that put a good head on his shoulders makes sense to me.
