This 100%. As much background work as I have done, it would be great to be told “no, you don’t have to take a day off work”, or “lose weight to get into a costume you fit a few months before” etc., but be paid for your likeness and still be in currently filming projects and stuff.

Also, people can run their own servers. It’s a real bummer that other companies can just kill a game because they won’t let anyone but them run the servers.

I mean ..he has to be eyeing up places to start his sports bar at this point in his career , right?

Civil Engineer here (roadway design, not structural in Illinois) and you’re exactly correct. Besides, it’s inspectors/engineers themselves who declare things either functionally obsolete or rate them structurally deficient. They tend to rate those things well ahead of actual failure, but to extend those lifetimes they

It said “irrational” hatred. Hating on these is totally rational.

I believe they are referring to the video game market.

The judge did their job. It was the FTC’s misunderstanding, if anything, that led to this outcome. Their case was weak. It largely focused on one IP and its effect on one competitor. It’s not a judge’s job to protect the guy in number one from becoming the guy in number two

I feel like you intentionally missed the point of the article to fit in with what you want to see. The point is that Elemental has much longer legs than expected and is sticking around when most analysts thought it would drop off completely. Has it been a huge success? No but only two animated movies have this year:

But I was told if you ‘went woke’ you’d ‘go broke’... you mean that wasn’t true?

This is the correct response to not liking something.

They...they didn’t announce Shang-Chi 2, though. That wasn’t one of the films on the slate.

It doesn’t work for me, but I hope others will enjoy it.

I always liked the approach Netflix’s Dark took-- they could only time travel precisely 33 years into the future or the past. So as time moved forward in one timeline, it was still moving forward in another. Great show if you haven’t already seen it.

“Want to make a movie about how Gandalf trains a rag-tag group of hobbits how to skateboard to save their failing hole in the wall at bag end from being turned into a boring sacksville hotel?”

I get what you’re going for here but your explanation of how it would work is a perfect example of “having to make up some silly plot reasons to bypass a massive hole” that I was talking about lol.

Not really. Sony’s whole case (and by virtue, the FTC case) is completely dependent on getting a judge to say “Nintendo isn’t a competing console maker”. Without that statement, Sony’s whole case falls apart. At that point, all MS does is point as Nintendo and say “They’re #2 and they haven’t had a Call of Duty since
