This reeks of boomer energy where they assume playing video games makes you a serial killer.

we will still have consoles but theybwill be a niche product in the 1st world (there are other valuable markets aside from the US and japan after all.)

It makes sense. My pie on the sky hope is we will get a 1-2 punch at the business update:

while true the cost is higher it is important to look at the alternatives. previously if younwanted tongame eith a disability you had to contract a company to design you a specificly designed controller which would cost thousands of dollars and was not covered by insurance. with the XAC though you can use a lot of

thats also part of what really helps the xbox adaptive controller. since it does it at the system level even if the game doesn’t have a way to configure the controls you still can. while trying to play the music minigames in night in the woods I was struggling to pass them until I went into controller setup and

I think it is fine. microsoft has been doing the same with minecraft spinoffs for years so this isnt new.

I dont think xbox as a console is going away within the next two generations (15 years) but I do think the focus is going to shift to cloud streaming instead for 1st world markets. you put a cloud streaming app on android tv and suddenly most modern smart tvs can now play next gen titles without any console connected.

the problem I think is that to add it would require a change to how the PS5 architecture works. quick resume works thanks to hypervisor. since there is a layer above the environment it can manage the ram and restore it easily. the same is not true on ps5.

considering we can both play at the same time including online yeah it is worth it. Also to be clear there is no reason we can’t have the ability to lend and sell digital games the EU is getting that functionality already. we just need to make the US pursue changes to how digital ownership works so that we can.

The big problem is digital is just way more convenient for the timeframe where sales matter. On xbox if I buy a digital copy of a game on launch I can share that game with every person on my “home xbox” while logging into my own xbox to play it as well. suddenly my $70 purchase is equivalent to two copies worth $140

I just eatched season 1 when paramount put it out for free a month ago and honestly I really enjoyed it. was the sex scene dumb? yes. could I care less about the rebel subplot? most likely no. was the majority of the main plot worth going through the junk? you betcha. Genuinely the best part was the female spartan

yep especially on the series X where it runs at 60 fps. I have been playing through the challenges off and on for a couple years now and it always scratches that sonic adventure 2 itch.

going the youtube route makes sense especially if she intends to stream less. thanks to the algorithm you don’t have to stream for 6 hours every day to keep viewer numbers up. instead you can post clips from the stream as shorts to keep people interested and actively viewing the channel. as well as release highlight

River of Life” the home of streaming organisms.

yep, we are in this weird spot where news sites need clickbait so they set the story up as if it is a problem just so that in a couple days they can run another "actually EV adoption rates are fine." article. in the last year I have seen this happen teice on Jalopnik and it gets the clicks every time.

a simple winter emergency kit is a pair of gloves+socks, a lighter, and a jar candle. candles are insanely good heat providers for the amount of fuel required.

I mean at the time that wasn’t really true. It was the 360 era. the consoles had little space for digital games and that was a much smaller piece of the pie compared to physical. I should know I was in the closed beta for the multiplayer for spec ops the line and I had to clear space on my falcon 360 to make room for

Look on one hand the technology is genuinely fascinating and could really improve the lives of those with disabilities...on the other hand musk is a giant conspiracy shitbag salesman that really needs to stop trying to run companies into the ground.

while I disagree with the passing argument I do generally feel.safer behind an ev vs an ice. mainly for unprotected left turns. in an ev I can hit the pedal and be free and clear instantly while an ice has to lurch up to speed.
