You really missed the biggest one: Have a backup plan.

Going to disagree on rings of power. I actually enjoyed season 1.

Salt has it’s place but a lot of people do use it as an end all when really they should look at something more dynamic. If I need salt (like for boiling pasta) I tend to use celery salty as it gives it a lot more than just “salty”.

Cacio e pepe can kill a man here lol.

the problem is that you have to take risks and sometimes those don’t pay off. Mortal Engines seems to have made changes because they didn’t think they would make enough to get a second/third movie so they mushed a bunch of stories together which made it a disjointed mess to try and put as many interesting set pieces

That’s the thing, Season 1 was fantastic for me personally but at the same time now that I am aware of the twist I doubt I will ever watch it again because part of the fun in S1 was being confused and slowly connecting the dots to make sense of it.

Exactly, part of the reality that I don’t think a lot of people understand is that transferring something from one medium to another is an adaptation and things are going to shift due to the different constraints/freedoms of those mediums. take any comic book movie fight scene. while a comic may have some action

Yep, like some of this stuff is actually impressive technique but because the recipe originated in the depression era it didn’t have a lot of seasoning and to keep it “traditional” it still doesn’t.

Real Talk: I overheard extended family complaining once that a mac n cheese was too spicy at a potluck. the only seasoning was black pepper.

you forgot Paprika for deviled eggs, which comes from a tin that has been in the family for at least 60 years.

sounds about right, the midwestern pallet is weird. I don’t know if there was some kind of spice shortage right when all our regional dishes were being created but anything unique to the midwest is generally bland as hell and the uniqueness comes from the preparation. For instance the Indiana specialty of the pork

Stopskeletonsfrom fighting has a lot of great videos on the zeebo.

It is also why the ps2 / games were still in production during the ps4 era. Sony had a factory in brazil and since imports of electronics were so expensive it was really the only affordable console on the market there so they kept releasing games for it there.

Wendy’s and Papa John’s do. (for example at wendys I can use an app coupon to BOGO a chicken sandwich AND use rewards points to get free nuggets.)

The issue I have with Mcdonalds rewards is that you cannot use a deal and a reward in the same transaction so to actually use your rewards you have to do it in a separate transaction or forgo the deals which usually save more money compared to the rewards.

What is going to be interesting is what happens when one of the indictments sticks. say he wins the nomination only to have an indictment stick? do they pivot to the next in line? his running mate? and how the hell are they going to churn up support for Mike Pence in that situation? genuinely this might end up an

exactly this, it seems like a lot of people don’t grasp the concept of this well. Reminds me of my MTG days when I would set deck building rules for my various commander decks for casual play. things like “no basic lands” or “every card is either a land or a planeswalker.” some people couldn’t wrap their heads around

Donkey Kong is heavily implied, Zelda and Metroid are likely in discussion but nothing confirmed yet. All voiced by Chris Pratt though.

so unless I am mistaken these are going down in federal court as Disney is claiming the state is infringing on their 1st amendment rights. Which is going to be a lot more favorable as even the supreme court is not going to want to restrict 1st amendment rights.

With the mario movie succeeding like it did it would not surprise me if we start seeing plans for a lot of other Nintendo IP to hit the big screen (especially if Nintendo uses their recent acquisition of that animation studio to start developing films/shows internally.)
