I saw it as a farewell ad to a car that hasn’t been sold in the US for 40 years. I knew they were doing it because of the end of New Beetle production, but not even making a passing reference to the vehicle that currently is at the end of the line seemed like an odd choice to me.

You know you’re dealing with a paragon of civic virtue when someone has three passports from three different countries.

No doubt there will be further Lebanonsense.

Don’t forget the infection of 60,000-mile CVTs.

The way I see it, from the way I was raised, people are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, have the right to a speedy trial, be free from unfair treatment, etc. Carlos Ghosn may be guilty of something, but he’s being treated as a violent criminal (seemingly worse in some ways), detained seemingly

He killed the iDX, made all Nissans boring and killed any long term plans. We now have a Nissan with ancient cars that have not been updated. Also he stole money from the company for his family and himself. Anything more to say?

I credit him for the stagnation at Nissan. Make of that what you will.

1st gear: I hope when the eventual film of this is made, they get Rowan Atkinson to play Ghosn.

Is Ghosn a hero or villain? ... I keep hearing about both cases.

This song band is just amazing.

This van is like the pizza chilling out at the end of the all you can eat Chinese buffet: I see you over there doing your thing, and I usually like pizza, but given the situation and where I am, I’m going to pass.

that’s a same story for most of the manufacturing companies in USA. They’re in business of making cash and the stuff that they produce is only a byproduct of the money making operation.

I’m surprised it took this long. Also, the fact that no one has been criminally charged for negligence is also surprising. I work in healthcare and if my willful action lead to the death of one person, let alone hundreds, I probably would never be able to work in my field anymore.

The man made $15M in 2016, a whopping $34M in 2017 and $23M in 2018. I think he’ll be fine even if this didn’t trigger a golden parachute.

I wonder what electrification is going to do to the 4-door, long-bed, 22-inch dually, King Ranch, coal-rolling excess that is the modern pickup. Especially when Ford says an electric F-150 is already good for a million pounds.

Nothing a 96 month loan can’t fix.

Man, my dreams went from buying a boat to a fun car to bicycle after buying a house...

Hybrid Camry LE, 52 combined mpg starts around $27k. Plus 208 hp so it’s not frustratingly slow. That’s what I’d get for a fuel miser.

I get it that this car is boring as fuck, but isn’t that the trade off for the value and fuel economy? Is there another car that costs less than 30K, that can actually fit two people in the back seat, that gets 50 mpg. The possibility/reality that gas is gonna cost $4/gal again is impossible to ignore if you’re
