That's a good question... The Within Windows article generally refers to the specs as minimums but never calls out resolutions specifically. Windows Phone 7/7.5 has or had as fixed resolution, lets hope that is not the case for Windows 8 tablet.

Isn't one of the major points of the new 4K monitors to output 1080p glass-less 3D? What is with the 720p spec? Do they need 3 lines of resolution to produce 3D? Anybody have any knowledge on this?
