Hi Claire! I have used this method with great results. I’ve also used a similar version where you cover, turn off the heat and serve 3 - 4 minutes later. This version lets you walk away and do some other morning task without having to mind the stove. I believe I read it on Lifehacker: https://skillet.lifehacker.com/thi…
Holy carp! I thought we were discussing organizing spices. I get your point, but you might consider toning down the “Racist!” moniker. Some folks will shut down and ignore someone who opens with being called a racist. I suggest something like “Eastern culture sometimes sees things differently from the West, one should…
No need to make this so difficult; I keep my dirty sports clothes in a laundry bag with a dryer sheet in it. The odors are killed and you wash the bag with the clothes - easy peasy.

It’s been a while since mine were little, but here is a solution recommended to us and we loved it: BITE THEM! No risk of hurting their fingers, requires no equipment and it is a fun game. Sounds weird until you do it.
Alec Baldwin kept trying to order fancy socks from the TV commercial and Alexa would wake. After that round of ads, I’ve noticed that this is no longer a problem for the Echo. I assumed that Amazon had made some sort of change to prevent this issue.
While your suggestion is spot on, may I also suggest not attending at all? I am an extrovert, love free food and drink (who doesn’t?), but as you correctly point out, these parties have enormous downside potential. Even if you go and don’t drink, leave early, etc., you may still bear witness to something you wish you…
Here’s one: when I make fried eggs, I start my toast first (like most folks). I melt butter in the pan, then place the not quite toasted bread in the pan to properly butter edge-to-edge. I fry the eggs in the remaining butter.
I’ve just re-read Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers and applying what I’ve learned, I would recommend always holding children back. It will help them in life, career, practically everything they do.
Very satisfying to watch.
Check with your accountant, but I’m pretty sure that under the new tax plan, things you used to write off as work expenses are no longer there. Home/office deduction, home Internet, utilities, etc. are out.
Tradition aside, maybe add some baking soda to the water. I do this with my french fries/home fries to “roughen them up” yielding a far better result. would this be recommended with latkes if placing in water?
I totally believe anyone in a lab coat
My employer now offers an HPSP. They claim it will save me money over the PPO that I routinely choose. While the HPSP has a higher deductable, it includes an HSA that my employer contributes to, as well as lower percentages for office visits, X-rays, emergency room visits, etc. The biggest draw for me is the fact that…
We like Tate’s but I have a minor problem, they seem a little salty. Did you find that in your test too?
True story: two months ago I received a new iPhone with corporate billing. I turned it on and NOT 30 SECONDS LATER received a spam call on my new number that I didn’t even know yet.
I was at LAX Terminal 7 (United) last week and had a spectacular Summer Salad at a fantastic Mexican place. Sorry I can’t remember the name, but it was in the food court of all places.
Here’s a hack for you: rather than pure sugar, use ketchup. It has plenty of sugar in it, but will work better in your sauce. Alternatively, tomato paste.
When I was 19 or so, and in college, I was in some serious pain and needed to see a local dentist who immediately sent me to an oral surgeon. They told me they needed to extract my wisdom teeth and I agreed (I’d agree to anything to stop that pain) but first, I needed to see a video before signing a waiver. So there I…
