He only takes 5 donations, then calls Blathers and cuts you off. Then you give Blathers another 15 and he cuts you off too while you wait a day for the museum to build. So for folks who didn’t aggressively pay off their first home loan with Nook Miles (it’s clear you and I are not in that category), and don’t have the

However, game studios rarely have big TV sets.

The honest answer: priorities. I’ve was in the game industry for decades, and robust UI accessibility is one of the first “nice to have” features to get cut to get a game out the door. There are several reasons for this:

There was an iOS app for New Leaf called QR MyDesign Assistant which made pattern creation exponentially easier by allowing you to import photos, select from the preset AC palettes to get the best results, and export a QR code for easy import. While it is no longer available in the AppStore, I expect there will be a

Beat me to it. Also notable because Charlie Brooker of Black Mirror fame was behind Dead Set too. That guy is a Dystopia Whisperer.

Edit: deleted response, a more complete answer was already posted.

The old games were never canon, nor were the books and comics in any official sense, so don’t let that bum you out. They were just characters and situations that existed until some other piece of media contradicted them. They will always live on in your head canon.

Specifically, it’s like Future Fight with larger maps. The game basically plays itself and it’s just a money sink for crafting parts and hero collection.

FYI, the “cool looking robot” is by Hajime Sorayama (NSFW), who is famous for that imagery...

Having worked for years in mobile gaming, I can tell you that EA has legions of data analysts and every one of their games is crammed with analytics monitoring your every action. They didn’t make this decision without knowing exactly who is playing this game, and it’s not you or people you would generally label as

Arrested Development Narrator: “It wasn’t.” (played it at E3 2004)

I played it at E3 2004, the footage of the leak matches my recollections. In full transparency, it failed to hold my interest and walked away after a few minutes, so really all I remember was the sparse industrial/ landing platform setting.

Given it’s the price of a normal switch, I’d say you’re absolutely correct.

Just seeing the headline (I realize the facts are quite different), I cannot be the only person who thought this was a life imitates art moment...

I was in the game industry for 25 years. Publicly-traded game companies function like any other company, as yeah_write alludes to in their comment. It’s a lot to delve into via a comment thread, but a few other points to consider:

The game (and tech, and film) industry feasts on the blood, passion and naivety of the young. There’s more than enough bodies to replace the ones who wise up and seek less soul crushing occupations. My favorite description comes from the old contact page of Beep Industries’ website (makers of Voodoo Vince):

Thank you, even the Bonnie Ross of 343i admits how bad the crunch was on Halo 4 and 5.

Spoken like someone who has never worked in the game industry. As someone who has for over two decades and also has dozens of friends who have left the industry exactly because soul crushing crunch is absolutely real, I can say definitively that you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Outside of contract workers (notably QA), tech workers are generally salaried. The longer you crunch, the less you’re making per hour.
