Go check out Makoto Shinkai's "Voices of a Distant Star". One man doing the entire thing from top to bottom on his Mac G4. (With his wife doing the other voice.)

"Guinness mousse", also known as "bread pudding".
People were THAT het up about an '80s Matthew Broderick CHIMP FILM? REALLY?
"Sorry, Charlie".
The Marvin wasn't great, by any means, but the most I could manage was "meh". It didn't look hideous. (Mind you, spinning that teaser out to a full movie, yeah. As my boss says, "turd train to monkeyville". (We're still not sure exactly what he means by that, but we're assuming it's not good.))
That does suck, but on the flip side - I work at a technical book store, and we have to constantly let customers know about our draconian return policy, because before we had a draconian policy we were getting taken to the cleaners with the number of returns we had per week.
DEAN CAMERON, awesomeness incarnate.
Obligatory Mike Jittlov reference.
I'd say the world just needs some Mighty Orbots, PERIOD. That I can't get this on DVD is kinda silly.
Fair 'nuff - I suppose there's only SO MANY 1/4-second cuts one can make when one has so little footage to work with in the first place...
When it showed up as a remaindered item at Half-Price Books, I cried a little. That said, it's cheap - go get it!
Wendy Watson, and you TOTALLY NEED TO WATCH EVERY EPISODE OF THE MIDDLEMAN BECAUSE IT'S TOTALLY AWESOME, AND HER AWESOMENESS JUST INCREASES THE TOTAL AWESOME OF THE REST.
I'm somewhat disappointed, actually - after the first couple of split-second flash cuts, we don't get any more, even at the bit near the end of the OP. And we don't get Anno's HUGE credit replaced by del Toro's!
