Ah, the Russian Xuxa?
Ah, the Russian Xuxa?
"Don't worry, most other people haven't heard of me either."
Not mocking, but I find it nostalgically amusing that someone using one of the Comico properties as an avatar is plumping for Robotech to return.
There's so much wrong with that... and so much right.
And that's relevant to the Enron comparison how?
@Antesignan… "Enron 2.0"
Yeah - if I'm going to hang something off the outlet instead of replacing it, this is pretty good. Belkin tends to give their USB ports enough juice, too.
Wired had an article about fifteen years ago called the "Wired Scared Shit List" - faked up news articles about future issues. Some were comparatively minor (gated communities becoming Stephensonian burbclaves), some stupid (Bill Gates becomes president, moves capitol to Redmond campus), and some were pretty damn…
That the original rulebook used the first issue of the Marvel comic as its starting adventure won me over.
There is something darkly humorous to me about the fact that everyone's referencing Watchmen in response - it feels wildly cart-before-horse to me.
"Perhaps thousands or even a few million would survive in isolated, poverty stricken, rural areas away from cities and military targets. They'd have to survive a decade or so of nuclear winter, the years of fallout and the huge devastation of the infrastructure that may have otherwise supported them. Who knows?"
I'm sorry - did you say "One of the cross beams has gone out askew on the treadle"?
Back at the end of the '80s, their covers of "Love Train" (off of the OST for "Earth Girls Are Easy", no less) and "I Can't Help Falling in Love" (off of "The Last Temptation of Elvis" tribute disc) really, really fired on all cylinders. It's easy to give them crap for lite rock, but they delivered the goods.
Yeah, but that's a REAL PERSON.
I think I just plotzed. That's a pretty delicious list indeed.
HELL, YEAH.
Oh, hey - my condolences on your loss.
"Why I am obsessed with old school Doctor Who."
"What, and give up show business?"
A) Disturbing, impressive, and gorgeous. Kudos.
