Nature of the sport, unfortunately. These sorts of innovations still go on, just on a much more minute/technical level. As the FIA tries to control costs by reducing the envelope for innovation, the engineers/designers have to look deeper and deeper to gain an advantage. That's a difficult cycle to stop.

None of these were at the time. They were all clever innovations around the rules in place in their era. Perhaps 'cheat' was a poor choice of words. "Most ingenious F1 innovation" might be better.

Brawn's double diffuser. It put them so far ahead early in the 2009 championship that by the time other teams caught up, even with Brawn running at a fraction of their resources, the championship was already won.

Brabham BT46 Fan car. An even better example of Gordon Murray's brilliance, imo.

Damn, there goes that plan.

So I should just skip steps 1-4 and smash the glass immediately to get into the car?

Cool, wasn't expecting that. Thanks Zac.

Neat. Thanks $kay.

Your tinfoil hat is showing

To be fair you presented it as a, and I quote, "counter argument", so I counter-counter-argued.

Suzuki Esteem.

It would be nice to think that it would have zero impact on corn prices, but it doesn't. Allow me to explain:

Oh I'm not trying to downplay that at all, that's exactly why I mentioned the problem in worldwide food production.

Corn is not a natural feed for cows and pigs. This use, just like ethanol in cars, is due to lobbying by "big corn"

I think it's almost silly to expect the ATS-V to sport anything other than the 3.6l Twin Turbo V6 also used in the CTS V-sport and XTS. At 420hp and heaps of torque it matches up against the M3/M4 perfectly.

I have the best argument against ethanol: it makes bacon more expensive.

Innocent bystander? That's questionable. Unfortunate victim of the mob's actions? Probably.

Haha, that's great.

I had to use a picture of a beige one and the new one didn't turn up immediately. Here's the new one:
