Several of these are pretty famously covers. Like, I don’t know anyone who would not know that 311 and Orgy were covering The Cure and New Order, respectively.

I would include Lost and Community, both of which I know are somewhat mixed, but they’re great. Oh, and The Wire. But I dunno. Lotta good TV show endings.

Rourke (and Mike Joyce for that matter) is as vital to The Smiths’ sound as Morrissey or Marr. The four of them were a band in the truest sense that way. There are few bassists with as much color and life in their playing as Rourke, and one whose style is immediately recognizable. An absolute legend.

Swifties must watch what we all witness: People you care about dating scumbums.

I’d throw in “Jumping Someone Else’s Train,” “Doing the Unstuck,” “Charlotte Sometimes,” “Kyoto,” “A Night Like This,” and “Disintegration” (which at least gets an honorable mention), but look, it’s a list of 30 great songs by one of my favorite bands. Hard to argue with.

I’m so sad for this show that I only just learned existed right now.

I’ve been having a very nice time with Animal Control. Just perfect hangout material. While there are moments of excellence here and there, it’s the stakeout episode where I see the possibility of the show becoming great.

Good on AVC. The first piece of semi-decent reporting in a while.

Missed opportunity with Idris Elba who’s in 28 Weeks Later the year before Prom Night.

Howard Ashman is rolling in his goddamn grave.

I can’t really even argue that this is a list by someone who doesn’t like slashers because some of the selections here are so fascinating. One of the better AVC lists in a minute.

Yeah, sure. Whatever. If it’s bad, I won’t watch it. It’s not like it erases any of the other iterations of the series. If you’re a Rankin/Bass or Ralph Bakshi devotee, those movies will continue to exist.

Not gonna lie: That took me a second.

This is my exact point.

Exception that proves the rule.

Surprise, surprise. Shitty premise makes for shitty movie.

Obviously, the romance is the heart of the film, but I am disappointed that this film fails to acknowledge how much it fleshes out its entire ensemble and embeds a dozen smaller arcs and vignettes throughout with masterful economy of storytelling. Bill Paxton, Victor Garber, Bernard Hill, Jonathan Hyde, Kathy Bates,

Okay, credit where it’s due: That’s a pretty great headline.

Mmm... You’re better than that.

I still love the original iteration of season four. It’s one that grew on me a lot. Whereas I never rewatched season five, even when I kind of enjoyed it. The ending is just such a fart. But even then, it’s a wonderful show that still holds up for its first three (or, in my case, four) seasons.
