Now they just need to get their comments section off Kinja and we can finally leave the nightmare of the Herb Years behind.

Yep, this is completely awesome. AVC is officially back, baby!

Actually, biannual is twice a year. Which is also semi-annual. You’re thinking of biennial.

For all the legit complaints you could have about this season, it feels like a lot of fans are still just completely hung up about how Carmy and Syd still aren’t fucking, which is the only thing they care about. It’s really just sad now.

Napkins was a standout episode for me. I just have a thing for episodic narratives that take abrupt detours to delve deeply into a minor character. Another great example is the episode of Serial S1 that focuses entirely on the DA in the case, which is either my favorite or second favorite after the episode on cell

i definitely don’t mind the wheel-spinning, i enjoy watching the actors act, i sort of like how much of a deviation this is from the show i started watching...but i can’t deny if you’re annoyed by a lack of plot this season must be interminable.

Joel McHale has had a busy schedule of appearing over Jeremy Allen White’s shoulder throughout the day to scream mean things at him.

I honestly don’t understand the problem people have with the pacing of this season. I can relate it to the macro problem with media, which is that too many people think Plot is King, a perspective that I think is objectively wrong at best, and indicative of people not having read enough actual stories at worst.

Why would he blame himself for a successful show that was only canceled because his bosses at the time were cowards?  Also, maybe tell Sullivan to not propagate 'racial IQ' bullshit if he doesn't want to be branded as a racist.

Stewart didn’t need to call Andrew Sullivan a racist, Andrew Sullivan answered the questions Stewart asked and came across as the out-of-touch accidental racist middle-aged white man that he is. Not being personally racist is all well and good, but you also can’t deny institutional racism, and the residual effects of i

Tell that to Apple.

They don’t care if you say corporations are evil if you don’t specifically mention them. Stewart said some way more contentious things than this on the show.

Corporations are a neutral evil at best. Anyone with the bare minimum of critical thinking skills can come to that conclusion. Nobody likes them, but we need them and we don’t pretend otherwise.

And I understand the need for good PR, but we’re all sitting here like, “...C’mon, you’re not fooling anybody.”

If Apple just

I guess there’s just enough sci-fi bullshit in Severance to keep the suits at Apple from catching on to the message of “corporations are evil and working for one is miserable”

I feel like people forget how recent Luca and Turning Red are when talking about Pixar, they obviously got Fuuuuucked by the D+ release but I keep hearing “Pixar has sucked for years!” and then, when reminded of the D+ ones, respond “Oh yeah, those were pretty good actually.”

“There’s no such thing as free, Will!”

Now playing

Plus, HF2 has both Matt Damon’s and Brad Pitt’s greatest roles:

I’m good with just living in a society where Paul Schrader is still doing his thing.

“He wasn’t doing all our nerd stuff!”

Yeah, the allegations that he’s choosing to use an old school/analogue way of making a film rather than a quicker digital shortcut...is that supposed to upset me?
