This is my thing: The glass thing is smaller and less iconic, but it is so much sweeter in context. Hell, even then scene where they’re at the prison and Lloyd gives the whole “I wanna be with your daughter” speech to John Mahoney would be all right.

This article really leans into season one—which is, like, six episodes long—but for those who haven’t seen the whole show, all of it is great. Fred Savage, problematic though he may be now, gives an all-timer performance as Kevin Arnold. The series is absolutely worth watching and holds up remarkably well.

Sorry, guy. I know he’s your friend, but he almost certainly did it.

Yeah, sure. Why not?

I guess it’s political in the sense that horror is seen as a lesser genre, and therefore, recognizing it would tarnish the Academy’s sense of prestige. But also, the Academy tends to shy away from horror, even with infusions of younger voters in recent years. Even buzzier performances like Toni Colette in Hereditary

I wonder if this negates his asshole behavior in the past, at least for other people.

Look, this list is pretty dire, but I can’t say I’m mad at the top four or five movies being placed where they are. So, it remains another list.

It’s funny you say that, because it’s on the set of Turner and Hooch where Henry Winkler became the one person in Hollywood who hates Tom Hanks.

Good for them. Hope things go their way.

Booooorriiiiiiing.

I love Halloween Ends. If you want it to adhere to the beats or tone of a typical Halloween film, or even a normal slasher, it’s gonna be a letdown. But I don’t know. I love how strange and final it is.

I love very much that Miyazaki made this as a parting gift to his grandson. I’m sure it’ll be lovely.

Never doubt Big Jim, baby!!!

Trevor Noah had the thankless task of following arguably the most important comedic television personality of the 2000s, and he made the show his own. It took some growing pains, and Noah will never have the footprint that Stewart left, but he did a hell of a job. Whoever succeeds him has big shoes to fill.

I actually like WW84, but Jenkins would need to scale things back a touch.

*Grey’s Anatomy

Scarlet and Violet are busted to hell, but I couldn’t give a shit. I’ve played the same buggy GB and GBC games for years at this point and they’re still entertaining to me. S&V is the Pokemon game I never knew I needed, breathing the most life into the series in decades.

I love Frankie Corio in Aftersun, but it’s kid actor category fraud. She is every bit the lead that Mescal is, and arguably more so, given that she is in more of the movie and it’s from her POV. And without getting into the screen time argument (which is a dumb and flawed metric for judging what is lead or supporting)

I think the only people living and breathing this shit are people who are way too fucking online.

God bless the mess. Looks fun, but damn, I wish he’d make a movie again.
