I mean, he’s not wrong. Captain Marvel might’ve actually ruined Brie Larson’s career for a while.

Not my Spielberg ranking, but the guy has made a ton of great, great movies. Hard to argue too much.
I mean, someone might actually only be a doctor if their parent is a doctor, given that getting to medical school, let alone paying for it, is fucking expensive and time consuming. Hard to do if you don’t have money.
What’s the sequel? Scary Saturday? Twisted Tuesday? Weird Wednesday? Fucked-Up Friday?
seasons 2 and 3 are generally accepted as the best. I prefer the energy of season 1 over later in the show, but the only season I just don’t have as much enthusiasm when I’m rewatching is, predictably, season 4. The rest of the show I love.
Boseman is a great actor, but he doesn’t have a particularly good filmography.
By the sound of it, McKay doesn’t have some interesting alternate take. So, if he does this, it’s probably gonna be yet another not-good movie from him.
Except James Gray isn’t gay. He is Jewish, however, and is telling a story largely based on his upbringing as a Jewish American.
...I don’t get it. What’s the problem? Where’s the story? It’s not like James Gray of all people is the first Jewish filmmaker to cast non-Jewish actors as Jewish characters in his movies. See Shiva Baby or This Is Where I Leave You. Noah Baumbach does this all the time. Hell, queer filmmakers cast non-queer actors to…
Oh god, that’s so much worse for him. But the schadenfreude will be worth it.
For a guy who claimed so aggressively that he wanted to keep his money, Elon seems all too happy to piss it away.
Yeah. And I get wanting to not adhere to the same stale classics or canon (although, Wire and Sopranos are still at the top) but most of this order is kinda silly.
Yeah. I hate ragging on lists, but I don’t totally get what metric these shows are being judged by. Leftovers, Band of Brothers, and Curb should be top ten. SatC and Game of Thrones should be way further down. Euphoria shouldn’t even be on this list. Just confounding stuff.
Doesn’t sound like they’re doing a lot of “sleeping,” if you catch my meaning. Because they’re fucking.
Even if this is somewhat different from my own ranking, I’m glad this list is made by someone who gets these movies, or who can appreciate what they’re doing. Also, yes. 4 is 100% the best sequel. Just damn good direction.
“However, it has also sparked heavy criticism for its depiction of obesity...”
I would be very into that. Justice for Jamie Lloyd.
Halloween’s continuity is still nothing compared to the mangled insanity of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
This was a really fun episode. Gleeson’s monologue was really low key and lovely--personally love that Farrell is in and out, because, after all, he’s not the host. The PDD sketch was great, as well. Although, I do think the New Cast Advice was probably the best.
I love the Halloween movies so much, but with every franchise, it is a delicate balance. Because you don’t want to make a copy (I, for one, never need to see Michael Myers tilt his head to admire his own bloody work), but you do need to capture the essence of the original to some degree. If you’re going to include…
