Surely there was a better way to phrase that headline.

I still want to believe multiple people don the Black Panther mantle in this one. But it would be an enormous bummer if it is Shuri.
Having read the interview, I have no interest in defending Dominik or Blonde (not familiar with either), and it’s well worth telling a story that elevates Marilyn Monroe beyond her suffering.
Sorcerer’s Stone is pretty dicey across the board, but Chamber of Secrets irons most of it out--to the point that it’s my favorite of Radcliffe’s performances across the series.
Whether or not it’s a snooze, agree to disagree. But season two clearly has ideas and goals—Ted reckoning with therapy, Sam’s activism and relationship with Rebecca, Nate’s descent into being an asshole, the ups and downs of Roy and Keeley’s relationship, etc. All of that is there. Whether you agree that it’s…
Weird dig at Ted Lasso, whose only crime was... having kind of a sophomore slump? Like, it’s not even a bad show, and it’s not even like it beat out some monumentally better show. SNL and Last Week Tonight winning yet again are far more egregious—especially the former over the brilliant and hilarious A Black Lady…
Halle Bailey is a talented performer and songwriter, but holy shit, why is she being asked to take the melody on a fucking rollercoaster? Just sing the song! The lyrics and melody are emotional enough on their own.
In a few years, people will be ready for my “So-So” series. That’s right. We’re getting The So-So Lawyer. The So-So Easter Bunny. The So-So Hospital Administrator. So-So Grandmas. I’m shopping for swimwear to my vault of gold coins as we speak.
Michael Keaton did not win Best Actor for Birdman. He lost to Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything.
Love Jamie Clayton, love Hellraiser. Hope this thing rules.
I don’t think Athari pissed anyone off, but I can see SNL not being a great fit for him. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him elsewhere sometime soon.
He should be proud of it; it’s an absolute masterpiece.
Witches of Eastwick, Three Thousand Years of Longing, and Happy Feet Two are all excellent—HF2, in particular, is a phenomenal and delightfully ambitious film compared to its overrated predecessor. This list is bad takes all around.
For Chrissake, just let Peyton Reed to it. His take is clearly the right one. Plus, he’ll imbue a modicum of personality that the MCU desperately needs.
Weird that Tracy Morgan is perhaps the most blameless of the named parties.
I am personally uninvested in anything Harry Styles, but this article feels weirdly mean and presumptive to someone who’s trying to sell a movie.
This series finale is Saul we deserve and more. A great end to one of the great series. And arguably the best companion to a pre-existing show since Fraser, and maybe even better than that one.
I’ve loved Lauren Ambrose ever since Six Feet Under. Glad she’s gonna be on a good show. But I have to say: Seeing her age (excellently) she looks way more like Frances Conroy that I could’ve imagined when they were mother/daughter on SFU.
I dunno. I’m all for Rick and Morty doing a Prince of Darkness thing.
It’s the exact opposite of Bechtian.
