If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times: the only person who should be playing Linda Tripp is John Goodman.

*shrug* I don’t know. I like it a lot—give or take a “Jail Pt. 2.” Hopefully, we’ll get a Pablo-esque revision, but if we don’t, I still think there’s a lot to love about Donda.
Saw this at Sundance. I liked it well enough, but there’s one scene in the middle of the film—I believe with Brooke Raymond—where we have one of a few single-scene characters giving a monologue about their loved one dying on 9/11, and it’s truly one of my favorite pieces of acting of the last few years. I’m excited to…
I really like Wonder Woman 1984 and would like to have seen it in theaters. In fact, I can see it having a resurgence sooner rather than later.
I love the Wachowskis. I think the two sequels to The Matrix are fantastic—especially Reloaded, which is maybe my favorite of the series so far. I totally get not wanting to jump back into that world, but who knows? I’m sure Lana has a great take, and knowing what I do from a small in with someone working on the film,…
It has been established that most of those Phase One movies happen within the same timeframe, but also, who gives a shit? It’s fun to be with these characters. And I’m all about a murder mystery.
Hodgman would be perfect. That’s how I know it won’t happen.
Melodrama is also not good. The songwriting is half-baked, and the production is flat as hell. But if you like that album, you have to give credit to Antinoff. He’s on every track of that record.
I think that, generally, the animation is great. It’s lush, the environments are incredible, the set pieces are unreal. But like I said, there’s kind of a mannequin quality to the characters that clashes with how alive the rest of what’s on screen is.
R.I.P. Only Fans, I guess.
I’m not a Marvel person, but this looks good, and I think it’s because Zhao pushed to make the movie she wanted to make.
I’m sure others have mentioned this, but I agree on the stiffness, although not in the voice performances. It’s in the animation. As vibrant as the images are—and as well as the action pops given the canvas of cartooning—the character animation veers too hard into “realistic.” They just aren’t very expressive. Their…
I love Debra Winger. She’s a great actress. She would have been excellent in the film. If she doesn’t like the movie, then it’s probably best that she’s not in it.
Boseman’s passing is tragic for any number of reasons. Yet, for how understated he is in Black Panther, his performance really does linger.
Here’s my take: I like my show about nice people being nice to each other. Made for a really nice Christmas episode. And if Santa is real, then great. Couldn’t give a shit about that. I’m just happy that my television friends get to be happy for an episode.
I hope Tarantino can also learn to mellow out in the next 40 or so years.
God, I remember seeing this episode as a kid. The big laugh line in the spots leading up to it was how Culkin’s nickname was “soupy,” or something.
I’m not a bad person if I sing all the lyrics in “Tiggas in Paris.” They’re just words that are part of the song!
As others have noted, Tarantino’s mom could have been a bad parent. Having read and heard a lot about Taratino’s life, that’s possible. That said, in Tarantino’s recent WTF interview, he’s weirdly compassionate about his dad who wasn’t around when QT was growing up. So, I don’t know.
He can no longer say, “Please. Mr. Urine is my father.” He has taken the mantel of “Mr. Urine.”
