Aww man, I only just started caring about this show enough to want to read reviews, and now they’re going away? And TWOP Jacob buries his sparse commentary in just an absolute mountain of (good) political retweets!

Detroit: Wheel - Jeopardy
Portland: Jeopardy - Wheel
The differences between the new and old constructions are too subtle to just eyeball. Dr. Meredith Wills has pulled apart tons of balls from various eras looking doing a more scientific study.
The Twins hit 40 more home runs than any team in previous seasons. You’re thinking of the Yankees, who hit 39 more home runs than any team in a previous season. And don’t forget about the Astros, who hit 21 more, or the Dodgers, who hit 12 more.
Sprinting and distance running really do work differently. I won MVP of my 8th grade cross country team, and the same year they had to let me do the shuttle run twice in gym class so I could pass it.
I’m not as impressed by his speed (on that play) as that the defender actually knocked the puck off his stick and it somehow put McDavid in a better position to score?
Assuming he’s not VP, he’s setting himself up well to go after the Senate seats in 2022 or 2024, right? That would be fine.
I also like Ben Lindbergh and yet do not plan on reading their book.
I don’t know if it’s even OK that it matters, but somehow when I first saw this story I thought it was his sibling and parents who died. I thought “that’s very sad” and moved on with my life. Now that I see it includes his wife and child, I’m absolutely horrified. What an unimaginable hell he’s now in.
There was the shadiest, most embarrassing popup add when I came back from the link to other A’s blogs (I was seeing if there were secret pro-editorial-freedom-and-journalistic-integrity pieces in there). I felt like I was at a Warez site in 2002. (There were not)
Aw fuck
I am a reasonably devoted, former Michigander, but I also had a summer job in the UM Library system where I literally looked at old maps and typed out every word that appeared in them (separated by semicolons, into a SINGLE CELL IN EXCEL). I have never heard of Onaway either.
My old job had that policy and also a written-but-unenforced rule that we were supposed to take our work laptops home every day (with client data on them!). It’s not about securing the facility or the data—it’s about shifting the burden and potential blame onto employees.
The whole point of this article was that OKC may be preparing to attach assets to Westbrook in order to move him, and you want the Pistons to give up their month old pick and another pick or two? Keep Doumbouya and reverse the direction on that pick or two and you’ve got something.
Oh boy, you used an image of gentrification in close-in NE Portland to (probably accurately) demonstrate something dumb in suburbs. Isn’t this country grand?
I wish my sports fandom could live forever in the images in this article: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/miguel-cabreras-ridiculousplate-coverage/
It’s just delicious that there was that phase of “I, a sophisticated Boston sports fan, can absolutely assure you the Horford opt-out is just salary cap shuffling. Nothing to worry about.” So much more fun than if his intentions had been clear from the beginning.
“You can feel good about voting for me while also not worrying I’m going to meaningfully change a single thing about your privileged life!”
The 6-foot-9 center is just 19, making her not only the second-tallest player in WNBA history, but also one of the youngest players in the league.
You might be onto something, but I think it’s maybe the unreliability of the pace of hockey that might work against it. Football’s broken up into 15 second chunks all game long, but hockey will randomly go six minutes without a whistle, then have a covered puck, two icings, and an offsides in 45 seconds.
