I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding Mr. Cosby, but pulling one of the most influential TV shows of all time? Is that a little crazy? Can't people separate the artist from the person?
Yes, since this show is an anthology series, with new characters and setting and story, the show needs to be judged on its own. But, at the same time, it is a part of a series and needs to be judged with what came before and what comes after.
Yeah, a lot of times the show doesn't care about the cases of the week. But they're an easy way to move the plot forward and get the two main characters (Will and Hannibal) to interact with each other. Plus, it furthers along Will's main story.
I don't think there is anything really wrong with season 3 of Deadwood. I think because it was canceled so abruptly so it is the last season, people cast a negative light on it. You can tell it is the first part of a two part ending (the theater folk would probably pay off in a season 4) but the growing tension…
Completely disagree with you. I suspect you are not going to like it when they adapt Red Dragon later this season.
You do know that the show is adapting the books right?
Yeah, fuck characterization.
Keep watching. The first season has a lot of "case of the week" episodes but the show is not about those killers. The show is about the relationship between Hannibal and Will. The cases of the week only manage to further along that plot line. The "cotw" also manages to further along Will's story. But it is still a…
I love that Jack came up behind Hannibal the same way Hannibal came up behind Miriam back in season 1.
My theory: its going to have something to do with that pet eel he has.
I just got done reading Red Dragon. I know what happens to Will.
I would watch that.
I also think the show would work without Will.
Yeah. Hannibal sounds better than Graham.
Maybe… this is a good thing. Wait! Wait! Don't attack me just yet!
Bryan Fuller approaches every season as if it is his last season. So the
end of this season will have a feeling of closure. There is a big
moment at the end of this season (a "drop the mic moment" as Fuller
says) but it is very much an ending but with hints as to where the show
could go if there is a season 4.
No Justified?
Damn you AV Club! Getting me all excited for nothing! #SaveHannibal
Opening monologue…
Nic Pizzolatto ain't David Milch.
Vince Vaughn ain't Ian McShane.
