Sounds like the Camry driver is at fault for not slowing down to get behind the Prius, which has right-of-way. The Prius has no obligation to slow down (and it could be argued that it would be unsafe for it to slow down if they’re already traveling side by side).

Pretty sure they don’t owe 10k on the Echo as 1) the car in question has a bad CVT which means it most likely isn’t very mobile and 2) the Echo didn’t come with a CVT.

I got that as the writer is driving an Echo because his wife’s unspecified car has a bad CVT and they owe $10k on it.
